Fallout fans have been waiting patiently for any new official announcements regarding the next mainline entry in the series, Fallout 5, and while Bethesda director Todd Howard has made it clear that the game will likely not release for some time, there's plenty of Fallout content to keep players busy until then.
There's an official brand-new Fallout release scheduled for this spring that fans will want to mark their calendars for, and it's available to pre-order right now (via Bethesda).
Fallout Gets Official New Release This Spring
Fallout fans are getting a brand-new collectible item from Bethesda this May with the Fallout Atomic Blast Lamp, an officially licensed product from Bethesda that is available for pre-order now. It's a "light grey lamp with multicolored lighting effects" that features a glaring "DO NOT PUSH" red button, and it's listed for $90 USD on the official Bethesda store.
The Fallout Atomic Blast Lamp is crafted from vinyl materials and features a massive mushroom cloud plume that changes colors from red to blue to yellow, etc. It's a unique new release that will be the perfect addition to any hardcore fan's collection.
This release is just one of several different unique collectibles slated for release this year and available for pre-order now, such as the incredible upcoming launch of the first official fully functional Pip-Boy 3000 which will be available later this year as well. Players can also pre-order the Fallout: New Vegas 15th Anniversary Bundle now, which includes various collectible items in addition to the game itself and all the associated DLC.
Will We Ever Get Fallout 5?
Fallout 5 is arguably one of the most highly anticipated projects from Bethesda, possibly even more so than The Elder Scrolls 6 for many gamers. Unfortunately, players are going to be in for quite the wait, with Bethesda studio head Todd Howard making it clear that Fallout 5 isn't happening anytime soon.
It's all hands on deck with The Elder Scrolls 6 at Bethesda at the moment, and while development is underway on Fallout 5, it doesn't seem to be the main priority right now. With The Elder Scrolls 6 still likely a long way off itself, we may not see Fallout 5 until well into the 2030s according to some estimates.
While the Atomic Blast Lamp isn't exactly the exciting new Fallout announcement that fans are looking forward to, it's one of several unique collectible items from Bethesda that fans can enjoy while they wait for updates on the future of the franchise.
