Aaron Rodgers Gives Wife Brittani "Credit" for Family Reconciliation
In the game of life, Aaron Rodgers wife Brittani is always down for a bit of pass protection.
Because when it comes to the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback's off-the-field concerns, his bride of more than a year always has his back.
So, while she wasn't the one to call an audible and urge him to reunite with his family, "I've got to give my wife a lot of credit for—not that she was pushing me, because she never was," the 42-year-old explained to host Kyle Brandt during his August 1 appearance on the NFL Network, "but just the way that she loves and supports me."
And he's grateful for the chance to huddle up with her and his parents Darla Rodgers and Ed Rodgers after a 12-year estrangement.
"Having her by my side during this process has been really special," the athlete added. "And I missed those relationships. And there was reasons for it that don’t need to be talked about, but I’m thankful that that’s come all the way back around."
In fact, the 2011 Super Bowl champ is okay with leaving a lot of things unspoken.
During his past high-profile relationships, which included yearslong romances with Olivia Munn and Danica Patrick and a brief engagement to Shailene Woodley, "I got myself into crazy town," the University of California alum explained during a March appearance on The Pat McAfee Show. "I was with individuals who called the paparazzi, who leaked or talked about where I was living, who coerced me to make the proverbial social media posts. I never really wanted to live a public life."

So, when he met Brittani several years back, he decided to draw up a new game plan.
"I lived in the public eye for 20 years," he reasoned to McAfee in June 2025. "I had a public relationship. How did that work out?"
And now that he's on a win streak, he has no time for the Monday morning quarterbacks who are griping about his decision not to share all the Xs and Os.
"Now I'm with somebody who's private, who doesn't want to be in the public eye, didn't sign up to be a celebrity, and because I do things in private, because I want my personal life to be private, now I'm weird," he noted. "My private life is my private life—and it's going to stay that way."

Who Is Aaron Rodgers' Wife?
Two years after Aaron Rodgers ended his yearlong engagement to Shailene Woodley, he revealed he'd added a new member to his squad.
Detailing his Christmas present-buying prep during a December 2024 appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, the NFL quarterback told host Pat McAfee and analyst A.J. Hawk about the gifts he'd selected for his girlfriend Brittani.
And while he didn't provide his new teammate's last name, he did clarify, "Not Britney Spears. No, this is Brittani with an 'i.'"
As for any other crucial stats, "She doesn't have social media," Aaron detailed. But she does root for McAfee when they tune into his ESPN series, Aaron telling the former NFL punter, "She's a fan of you."
Most importantly, he could see their romance going the distance, sharing, "It's a good feeling, boys."
Aaron's no-longer-a-free-agent status complicated his hunt for a new team once the Super Bowl champ was cut from the New York Jets in February 2025.
"I'm in a different phase of my life," he explained on The Pat McAfee Show that April. "I'm in a serious relationship. I have off-the-field stuff going on that requires my attention. I have personal commitments I made not knowing what my future was going to look like after last year, that are important to me."

By June 2025, Aaron was sporting a new jersey and a new accessory on the fourth finger of his left hand.
"Yes, it's a wedding ring," he clarified in a press conference following his first practice with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Their vows had taken place in the off-season, he added, sharing, "It's been a couple months."

Has Aaron Rodgers' Wife Ever Been Seen Publicly?
Brittani doesn't seem interested in playing cheer captain or claiming a spot on the bleachers. Though it's possible she's slipped into her husband's games unnoticed, she definitely wasn't huddling up with any of the other athletes' spouses during this two-season stint with the Jets.
"I didn't know of any partner," Jessie Vera-Tucker, wed to NFL guard Alijah Vera-Tucker, told People in August 2025. "It literally came out of nowhere."
It was quite the successful trick play, agreed Maranda Williams, whose husband, defensive tackle Quinnen Williams, spent six seasons with the Jets.
"I didn't know he had a partner either, oh my gosh," she added. "I never saw anyone. Never met anyone."
And it is unlikely fans will score an introduction either as Aaron plans to retreat to the sidelines once he retires from the NFL in 2027.
"When this is all done, I'm out," he revealed to McAfee in June 2025. "You won't see me."

How Aaron Rodgers' Wife Convinced Him to Play Another Season
Admittedly, Aaron was ready to hang up his helmet before his former Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy was hired to call the shots for his current Pittsburgh Steelers squad.
After 21 years in the league, "I thought last year might be it," the 10-time Pro Bowler told reporters during a July 2026 press conference, "and then Mike got hired."
But before agreeing to take to the field for one final season, he had to consult his most crucial teammate. "I talked to the wife," he explained. "She said, 'You can do one more year and see if it works out.' And then it kind of all came together."
Though fans shouldn't expect any overtime.
"I played 20 fricking years," he detailed on the Pat McAfee Show in June 2026. "It's been a long run. I've enjoyed it, and no better place to finish than in one of the cornerstone franchises of the NFL."

"I'm happy to be reunited, and that part of my life is a really beautiful addition," the athlete said during an Aug. 1, 2026, appearance on the NFL Network of ending their 12-year estrangement. While it's not that Brittani "was pushing me," Aaron added, "because she never was, but just the way that she loves and supports me."
With his wife helping to keep him in the proverbial pocket, Aaron realized he was ready to make a major play.
As he put it, it was "getting married and having those conversations with my wife that allowed me to kind of open up to the possibility of coming together."

Let's talk about sex, baby. Because while Aaron keeps much of his playbook locked tight, he has shared what keeps him driving down the field in his workouts.
Sure, it's crucial to focus on strength training, nutrition and his overall wellness to keep performing on the field. "Just to stay in shape," he explained during a March 2026 appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, "you have to always be dialed in on diet, sleep and workouts."
But, also, "I want to look good," the athlete added. "I want my wife to want to f--k me all the time."
