‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 35 Judges and Hosts Revealed
Hailey Bills is sashaying her way to the front of the stage.
After making her Dancing With the Stars debut last year, performing in the background as part of the season 34 dance troupe, the 20-year-old was announced as one of this season’s professional dancing partners.
Bills will be paired with celebrity partner Sarah Jane Nader—whose sister Brooks Nader competed on season 33—marking the first time the dancing competition has featured a same-sex pairing since season 31 in 2022.
As Sarah said during the cast's Sept. 2 appearance on GMA, "I'm so excited. I mean, I think we all know that girls run the world, right? So, I think this partnership is going to be so special. And we're already having so much fun."
And the upcoming season will be a family affair for Bills, as her aunt Jenna Johnson—who first joined the show in 2014, also as a member of the dance troupe—is returning as the pro partner of Grey’s Anatomy actor Harry Shum Jr.
Plus, her uncle Val Chmerkovskiy—Johnson’s husband since 2019—will be paired with Step Up actress Jenna Dewan.
Of course, Bills isn’t the only addition to the professional dance crew after Adele Zaikman won Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro—a moment she feels is pivotal in her career.
“I just feel like this is a celebration of all the sacrifices that I’ve done," Zaikman said on The Next Pro’s finale episode following her win. "It’s just like a big ‘I made it’ moment.”

Additionally, Sharna Burgess has dusted her dance shoes off and is returning to partner up with Bachelorette finalist Tyler Cameron after she left following season 30 in 2021 to focus on raising her son Zane, 4, who she shares with fiancé Brian Austin Green.
Meanwhile, pro partner Gleb Savchenko—who has been among the cast for every season since season 23 in 2016—appears to not be returning for season 35, as he was not included in the cast announcement on Good Morning America Sept. 2.

While there may be some fresh faces among the DWTS dance crew, last season’s judges Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli will all return to the panel.
And for his part, Hough has no pre-show jitters.
"The cast is incredible," he said during a Sept. 1 appearance on Good Morning America. "The pros are energized. They're motivated. They're excited. They're ready to compete. It's gonna be an incredible season. I cannot wait. Truly, this is just magic in a bottle, and it continues to create magic every single season."
