It's probably safe to say that Taylor Swift wanted her wedding to be talked about.
After all, America's pop princess spent an estimated $20million taking over the most famous arena in the world: New York City's soulless Madison Square Garden, transformed for two nights into a veritable wonderland, full of life-sized trees, diaphanous drapery and a castle-like structure — all to say 'I do' to her Prince Charming, NFL star Travis Kelce.
And talked about it has been... though perhaps not in the way Swift had anticipated.
We've heard how, at the rehearsal dinner, actress Lena Dunham left 100 gathered guests gasping when, during a speech, she said that 'American football is just straight guys reenacting gay porn'.
Of the 1,000-person main event the next day, one guest reports that 'the ceremony was really long,' with couple's vows each lasting 'around 20 minutes'. And there has also been criticism of the food laid on for the famous attendees.
'I couldn't believe that there was a buffet at the wedding of the year,' another guest said. 'That felt like such a tacky move... amazing A-listers having to stand in line. It wasn't quite what I expected.'
And now there's more, with the raffle that Swift and Kelce held at Friday's reception raising eyebrows.
'It was really bizarre,' one insider told the Daily Mail. 'Straight after the ceremony, Taylor and Travis did a raffle and gave out expensive gifts for an hour. Everyone was weirded out.
'It was a circus meet-and-greet. Everyone kind of felt like, why are they giving away Chanel bags as if we are all their poor fans? It was pretty demeaning. It killed the vibe.'
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding reception had a few hiccups, according to guests who spoke exclusively to the Daily Mail
A-listers like Jessica Alba and Tom Brady were seen leaving the wedding hours before it ended
Another guest told us they enjoyed the 'playful' raffle - which reportedly saw the bride and groom give away Cartier watches and a vintage 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle - though that was perhaps because they won an expensive Chanel bag.
And the happy guest did note that many of the bigger-name celebrities present did not 'care to play.'
Several of those high-profile names were spotted leaving the wedding early.
They included Tom Brady, Jessica Alba and Hugh Grant, according to paparazzi pictures. Though, it remains unclear exactly why they left.
Meanwhile, those who stayed were reportedly buzzing over the realization that some guests had never even met Swift and Kelce, and yet somehow bagged an invite.
'We actually don't know them. We were surprised when we got the text,' one source said. 'It was just all odd and seemed like a corporate charity event.'
Some of those big-name invitees were potentially there for Kelce's benefit.
'Taylor and Travis worked the room like crazy with Taylor introducing him to every heavy hitter there, especially Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, Brad Pitt, Adam Sandler, and Tom Cruise, all people who can help get him cast in movies because he wants to become a big actor after he retires from football,' a guest claimed.
'It felt like a networking event to help Travis get a leg up in Hollywood.'
Some who did know the bride and groom well allegedly tried to go up to the newlyweds to congratulate them, but felt rebuffed by the bride's 'minion' friends who were closely guarding her, according to one insider.
Another source said Swift and Kelce worked the room and made sure to greet all their loved ones.
The $20million wedding was held at Madison Square Garden. More than 1,000 guests were invited
Swift had walked down the aisle to an instrumental rendition of her own song, Love Story, wearing custom Dior. Kelce also wore white - a tuxedo with a top hat, by the same designer.
After their reported 40 minutes of vows, they were declared husband and wife by officiant Adam Sandler, and so began a marathon afterparty of carnival games, food stands and live performers (who included Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks).
We hear that while there was plenty of food to go around - handed out at carts from Swift and Kelce's favorite New York City restaurants - the problem was that the huge guest list made for long lines and overcrowded tables. There was no formal seated dinner.
'There was nowhere to eat,' a source complained. 'There were so many people. One thousand people eating at the same time.
'The line was massive and very unorganized... it was so crowded that no one could eat at the same time.'
Another source described the available seating as 'funky,' claiming there were 'high tops with no chairs,' though insisted 'there was enough seating for everybody.'
We also hear there was a 'huge' cake station with about 15 different cakes from Swift and Kelce's favorite bakeries.
After McCartney sang Beatles hits including I Want To Hold Your Hand and She Was Just 17, Kelce took over the mic and sang Hot Chocolate's You Sexy Thing, with his new wife joining him up on stage.
The musical performances then led to a karaoke-style show that saw artists including Kesha, Avril Lavigne and the Haim sisters singing their own songs.
McCartney, 84, and Nicks, 78, were among those having a blast, still found on the dancefloor past 1am.
But, said one guest: 'It felt a bit like [Swift had] hosted a concert fan event.'
As for the bride and groom, whose opinions arguably matter most, we're told they were 'over the moon' with how the two days of celebrations went.
'They really love each other,' said an insider.
The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Swift and Kelce for comment.
