From fellow outlaws to familiar bounty hunters, fans of the Star Wars franchise are in for exciting appearances of well-known figures from across the Star Wars canon in Star Wars Outlaws.

[Warning: Spoilers for Star Wars Outlaws.]

While traveling as Kay Vass in this open world action-adventure, players will be running into familiar faces during the pursuit of her big heist. Throughout the game, fans can expect cameos from friends and foes alike. Some notable characters play larger roles in Kay Vess' journey, while others are brief appearances or contained in side quests, whose presence is made to excite loyal Star Wars fans.

9 Salacious B. Crumb Appears In Jabba's Palace

Kowakian Member Of Jabba's Court

Salacious B. Crumb makes a cameo in the Hutt palace. Jabba's jester was also seen in trailers and the Kowakian monkey-lizard was sure to laugh at players who visited the palace. Salacious seems to always play a minor role whenever he appears, but is another delight to the fans who know him to be associated with Jabba and his group of criminals.

The Star Wars franchise has numerous species from across the galaxy, so the inclusion of Salacious Crumb is also a call back to the species that have been around from the start. The diversity of alien species that have been created for the franchise is vast and seeing that brought into Outlaws further places players in the familiar and immersive universe. Even with a smaller cameo from a minor character like Salacious, it ties into the history of the franchise and creates more constant references to the original trilogy of Star Wars movies.

8 Bib Fortuna Is A Key Part Of Jabba's Crime Syndicate

Jabba's Twi'lek Right Hand

Having a Salacious B. Crumb cameo, Bib Fortuna was sure to show up alongside the court jester. The Twi'lek follower of Jabba the Hutt was also seen in trailers that featured characters from the Hutt palace, further emphasizing the importance of siding with Syndicates in Star Wars Outlaws. Even though he is seen as more of a sidekick character by being Jabba's right hand, he is still a cameo that players will recognize when collaborating with the syndicate.

Star Wars fans will know that once Jabba is no longer in control after being killed by Princess Leia, Bib Fortuna does not hesitate to replace him as the crime boss. He has also made an appearance in the animated show Star Wars: The Bad Batch, so he is not a character that exclusively appeared in the original trilogy. Bib is eventually killed by Boba Fett, which was shown in an end credits scene in The Mandalorian, so seeing him appear before these events is another intriguing detail that rewards fans for their knowledge of the franchise.

7 Qi'ra Is An Unsurprising Cameo For The Crimson Dawn

Debuted In Solo: A Star Wars Story

Known as one of the main characters from Solo: A Star Wars Story, Qi'ra's return was another cameo teased in trailers before the game's release. Qi'ra was a memorable character due to Emilia Clark's portrayal of Qi'ra and her history with Han Solo, so her inclusion in the latest Star Wars game seems to be a strong choice. Her involvement with Kay Vass' story allows players to interact with her directly, cluing fans to what she may have been up to after the cliffhanger of her movie appearance.

The presence of Qi'ra further connects Outlaws to the Star Wars canon, with her ties to Darth Maul and the Crimson Dawn being important to her character twist in her movie debut. With the game extending her character and answering some questions that Solo left unanswered, Qi'ra's cameo comes as an interesting addition to the main story. Being another secret-keeping outlaw, she is also an appropriate pick to have players making deals with.

6 Hondo Ohnaka Fits Right In With Galactic Outlaws & Space Pirates

Weequay Pirate Made Famous By Animated Star Wars Series

Appearing in a DLC expansion to the game, Hondo Ohnaka is a notable cameo from the Star Wars TV shows. Outlaws was sure to include its fair share of the franchise's outlaw characters and Hondo is a prominent figure in that category. Being known as a beloved scoundrel and a key character in the animated shows like Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, he is sure to bring life into his upcoming story alongside Kay Vess.

Hondo will be appearing in the story pack "A Pirate's Treasure," teased and detailed in the Star Wars Outlaws Season Pass. Although this cameo seems to be strictly tied to the DLC, the addition appears to be one dedicated to fans of the animated TV shows. The pack will be released sometime in Spring 2025 for those with the season pass, taking players on a new pirate adventure for another installment of Hondo's galactic shenanigans.

5 Legendary Bounty Hunter Boba Fett Was Practically Inevitable

Imperial Bounty Hunter Turned Tatooine Crime Lord

One large cameo in a brief appearance is that of the fan-favorite bounty hunter Boba Fett. He is located not far from Han's carbonite prison in Jabba's palace, where the clone can be spotted through an air vent speaking to a hologram. Boba's appearance in the palace comes as an expected element, as the bounty hunter is a prominent figure in this section of the Star Wars timeline. Boba Fett's existence in the Star Wars franchise expands from the original trilogy to recent installments like The Book of Boba Fett.

Boba's cameo in Star Wars Outlaws comes before he falls into the sarlacc pit in Return of the Jedi, which is probably his most iconic moment in the entire franchise. Knowing the fate that is to come, seeing Boba Fett before the events of Episode 6 should be a crucial cameo to include. Even with his small part in the game's Hutt-centered venture, Boba is an effective figure to reward players who are able to find him.

4 Han Solo Makes A Stone-Cold Appearance In Star Wars Outlaws

Frozen In Carbonite At The End Of The Empire Strikes Back

The legendary Han Solo can be found in Jabba the Hutt's palace, but players should not expect the presence of Harrison Ford himself. Han Solo can be found frozen in his carbonite prison and sadly cannot interact with players. Nonetheless, Han's appearance is a treat for fans of all levels of Star Wars knowledge, as having a main character from the original trilogy showing up in a modern Star Wars game is something special.

Han's appearance seems brief, but clues players into Outlaws' exact placement in the Star Wars canon. This cameo places the game between the events of Episode 5, The Empire Strikes Back, and Episode 6, Return of the Jedi. It is a small detail that comes with more complex layers, and the inclusion of one of the most iconic outlaws in the entire franchise makes it all the more memorable.

3 Jabba The Hutt Is A Major Player In Star Wars Outlaws

Leader Of The Hutt Cartel

Players will find themselves back on Tatooine and may come face to face with Jabba the Hutt. The presence of Jabba's cartel is looming throughout the game, playing a role in the main story as Kay Vess plans for the big heist. His appearance was revealed in trailers leading up to the game's release, so fans were stoked to see the return of another figure from the original Star Wars trilogy.

Jabba's appearance in Outlaws did stir some questions. Players were under the impression that Jabba's cameo only occurs if players pay extra, even though he appeared in trailers for the main game. This was implied by the detailed mapping of the different editions and pre-order benefits of the game. The mission "Jabba's Gambit" came with the Season Pass at launch, where Kay Vess can receive a larger job from the boss of the Hutt crime ring. Even with this quest only being available to those with the season pass, players will still interact with the Hutt syndicate one way or another.

2 Lando Calrissian's Charm Makes Its Way Into Outlaws

Smuggler, Sabacc Shark, & Administrator Of Cloud City

Sabacc high roller and friend of the rebels, Lando Calrissian appears in a side quest in the game. Being a loved character from the original Star Wars trilogy, Lando's appearance is sure to please many players. Because of his presence in more recent installments of the Star Wars series, including Billy Dee Williams' return for The Rise of Skywalker and Donald Glover's portrayal in Solo: A Star Wars Story, Lando seems to be a fan favorite to be making another cameo.

He can be found through the quest "High-Stakes Showdown," and finding him may also challenge the player's Sabacc skills. On the planet Akiva, players will need to play their cards right in order to gain Lando's assistance and connection to rebel forces. Kay Vess needs to win back something Lando has lost in order to gain his trust, so players should be ready to bet some credits.

1 Darth Vader Makes His Presence Felt With Very Little Screen Time

Sith Lord & The Emperor's Right Hand

Having a cameo from Darth Vader himself seems to be an essential asset to inducing the excitement of Star Wars fans. Even with only a short amount of screen time alongside Star Wars Outlaws' main villain, Sliro, Vader's presence always makes for a thrilling reminder of what galaxy players are adventuring through. With him being such an iconic figure for the franchise, he was sure to make a return for another game following his appearance in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Kay Vass first encounters Darth Vader while on Canto Bight, and once again later on near the end of the main story. Vader's dramatic and chilling presence sets a tone that not many other Star Wars characters are able to express both on screen and in game. While it may seem that a Darth Vader cameo is an easy card to play, it cannot be denied that it is an effective one to present to ground Star Wars Outlaws into the series' canon.
