Since its debut in 2019, Euphoria has pushed boundaries and been considered one of the most important and culturally relevant shows on streaming. The first two seasons earned widespread acclaim, helping the series reach a total of 32 Primetime Emmy nominations, winning nine. However, the show's long-awaited return earlier this year was met with huge backlash, as fans seemed to turn on the once-bold series, left frustrated by narrative decisions from creator Sam Levinson.

The series is known for kickstarting the careers of many now household names, although many felt that the likes of Sydney Sweeney, Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, and Jacob Elordi had outgrown the series come Season 3. With that being said, the popularity was still evident. The Season 3 premiere scored 8.5 million viewers in just three days, which was a 44% increase over the Season 2 premiere. The season averaged 25 million views per episode, a 17% increase on Season 2.

Now that the dust has settled on a controversial third season, creator, director, and executive producer Levinson is setting his sights on a new era. Alongside his wife and producing partner, Ashley Levinson, it has been confirmed that Levinson's Tiny Goat Productions banner has signed a deal with Amazon MGM Studios to develop and produce television projects for their platforms. Peter Friedlander, head of global television at Amazon MGM Studios, wrote in a statement:

"Sam Levinson is one of the most daring and original voices in television today, with a fearless commitment to authentic storytelling that resonates with audiences around the world. We’re thrilled to welcome Sam and Ashley and to give them the creative freedom and global platform to develop their projects."

Levinson said:

"Peter and his team have inspired us from our very first conversation. Ashley and I are grateful for their trust, and we can’t wait to get to work and deliver for audiences around the world."

'Euphoria' Season 3 Returns This December

After the hugely controversial yet undeniably successful third season, many have been wondering when a physical release might come fans' way. That news was finally announced recently, as it was confirmed that Season 3 would be part of a special Blu-ray and DVD collection of all three seasons. HBO and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will debut a 10-disc Blu-ray collection and 8-disc DVD collection of the entire series on December 15, just in time for Christmas. Three special episodes — “Trouble Don't Last Always,” “F*** Anyone Who's Not a Sea Blob,” and "Euphoria: A Look Back" — will feature alongside bonus content in the collection.
