Ella Langley scooped up a leading nine nomination for the 60th annual CMA Awards including in the marquee Entertainer of the Year category, the Country Music Association revealed Thursday.
This year’s nominees included a familiar face: Taylor Swift, who has won 12 CMA Awards, returns as a nominee for the first time in four years, picking up a Song of the Year nom for “I Knew It, I Knew You,” from this summer’s Toy Story 5 soundtrack. She last won in the category in 2017 for “Better Man.”
Also among the leading CMA nominees today, Miranda Lambert scored seven, Kacey Musgraves and Ben West had five apiece, and Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton and Stephen Wilson Jr. landed four each. Dave Clauss, Luke Combs and last year’s Entertainer of the Year winner Lainey Wilson picked up three.
Langley, Wilson, Combs, Johnson and Stapleton are up for this year’s Entertainer of the Year race.
Wilson is back to host this year’s CMA Awards, which are set for November 18 airing live on ABC and Disney+ and the next day on Hulu.
Langley’s nine noms also include for Single of the Year (“Be Her” and “Choosin’ Texas”), Album of the Year (“Dandelion”), Song of the Year (“Be Her” and “Choosin’ Texas”), Female Vocalist of the Year, Musical Event of the Year (“I Can’t Love You Anymore”) and Music Video of the Year (“Choosin’ Texas”).
Lambert earned two Single of the Year nominations as a producer on both “Be Her” and “Choosin’ Texas,” alongside Langley and West, mixed by Clauss.
