The singer, 30, rocked a floaty black spaghetti strap dress which she teamed with a bright yellow handbag and chunky buckle boots for her visit to Electric Lady Studios.
The legendary studio has seen the likes of Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones and Stevie Wonder record there, with Dua's appearance sparking suggestions something is in the pipeline.
The outing comes after Dua gave her opinion on Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner's plans to build luxurious eco-homes and hotels on the remote Sazan Island, which is just off Albania's picturesque Adriatic coast.
They believe rich tourists will flock to the communist-era outcrop, which was previously a secretive Soviet military base riddled with thousands of buried bunkers and underground tunnels, to enjoy its pristine beaches and abundant wildlife.

But critics are furious with the Albanian government for letting the powerful Americans turn the unspoiled setting in the Adriatic – an arm of the Mediterranean Sea – into a secluded playground for the super wealthy.
The luxury resort has faced strong local pushback, with environmental advocates protesting for the past 45 days in Albania's capital, Tirana.
The demonstrations that have become known as the 'flamingo revolution,' as the Kushner-backed project is set to be constructed along a stretch that is home to sea turtles, flamingoes and other fauna and flora.
Protesters have been seen with pink signs and inflatable birds, even as the government has cracked down on the protests.
At least 18 protesters were arrested at the beginning of the month, according to Politico.
The ritzy site has been supported by Albania's government, with the country's Prime Minister Edi Rama refusing to step back.
Addressing the issue on author Lea Ypi's Service95 Book Club podcast, Dua backed the protest movement as she said: 'I find it so inspiring to see how much people really care.
'What I actually find concerning is the principle that the government could just change the law to remove the environmental protection without any kind of public consultation.'

Aleksander Trajce, who heads the nation’s leading conservation group, the Protection and Preservation of the Natural Environment in Albania (PPNEA), told The Guardian Dua's statement was 'powerful'.
He said: 'It was a very powerful statement. A lot of especially younger Albanians, who see her as an idol, have been inspired. This is the 45th day of our protests and there is no sign they are going to stop.'
