Dragons' Den star Sara Davies has revealed exactly what she eats in a day after losing three dress sizes.

The businesswoman, 41, lost a significant amount of weight in 2024 by following a nutritionists plan after struggling with 'restrictive diets'.

She also does strength training every week and often runs at 6am with other school mums, while prioritising making 'no c**p' snacks so she doesn't raid her husband Simon's chocolate cupboard.

Sara decided to sign up to a plan called Strong and Nourished and switched lots of her daily habits.

The blonde beauty told Closer magazine: 'I can't get on board with restrictive diets and I fall off the bandwagon.

'They did nutrition plans and I had strength training coaching once a week. I feel great. I've totally changed how I think about food and how I balance what I put into my body.'

In the interview she told how she used to make a smoothie every morning for breakfast but then realised it was around 500 calories each morning due to all the peanut butter in it.

Sara then switched to having porridge with chia seeds for fibre and nuts for 'healthy fats'.

She also adds collagen and sea moss to the porridge and says the protein-filled start to her day keeps her sugar cravings controlled and helps her feel fuller for longer.

For an afternoon snack she with have Greek yogurt with honey in or healthy cookies made with bananas, nuts and pumpkin seeds in.

She also has the occasional alcohol-free month and monitors her sugar intake after having gestational diabetes when pregnant with her sons Oliver, 11, and Charlie, eight.

Doctors told her she would develop type-two diabetes within 10 years if she didn't change her diet.

In terms of her strength training she takes on workouts with kettlebell swings, squats and bear crawls. She also runs and goes on her Peloton when she is feeling more motivated.

It emerged in March that Sara had decided to step down from the show after six years.

The 2026 series features a mix of returning regulars and new guest investors.

Speaking about her choice to leave she previously said: 'I'm not going to lie, it was not the easiest decision to make, but I'm just trying to juggle everything.

'You know, when they asked me, I thought, 'Oh yeah, people do it for a couple of years.'

'And then they asked us back the third year and then they asked us back the fourth year, and then I just kept doing it.

'And I thought, 'Do you know what, it's because Dragons is an iceberg.'

'You see the little bit of time we're filming, but all of these businesses that you commit to, I want to give them a piece of me.

'And there's just not quite enough pieces of me to keep going round. You know, something you have to give at some point.'

However, according to The Sun, some have figured out the 'real reason' why she's left - and it's because there are rumours that her 'empire is struggling'.

They report that she can 'no longer afford to splash the cash on the show' and instead needs to double down on her existing ventures.
