DJI has officially introduced the Osmo 360 II at IFA 2026, marking a significant advancement in panoramic imaging technology. According to DJI, the Osmo 360 II was developed based on the company’s extensive product background: distortion control in aerial photography, stabilization from the Ronin handheld gimbal systems, and color science from successive generations of Osmo Action cameras.
Sensor Innovations and Low-Light Performance
The Osmo 360 II is equipped with an industry-first 1-inch square HDR image sensor. According to DJI, this unique design increases sensor utilization by 25 percent while preserving the necessary 360-degree field of view. The camera captures 8K/60 fps 360-degree video and boasts 14.5 stops of dynamic range. Paired with DJI's new AI SuperNight 2.0, with the all-new noise-reduction algorithm and large 2.4 μm pixels, the system is engineered to produce clean, high-resolution footage even in demanding low-light environments.
Professional Color and Post-Production Workflows
Addressing the rigorous requirements of colorists and professional editors, the Osmo 360 II supports 10-bit color depth and the D-Log M color profile across all video formats. For desktop editing, 360-degree files exported from DJI Studio can now be imported directly into DaVinci Resolve via a dedicated plugin, significantly accelerating the post-production pipeline and bypassing intermediate renders.
Connectivity, Audio, and Ecosystem Integration
A major hardware addition to the Osmo 360 II is a dedicated near-field communication (NFC) area designed to ease the pairing process. With a single tap of a smartphone, the camera instantly connects to the DJI Mimo app, allowing users to rapidly transfer footage or jump directly into the editing interface.
The camera also seamlessly integrates with DJI’s broader ecosystem. It features a built-in four-mic array with a wind-noise-reduction design, delivering crisp audio straight from the device. Through the DJI OsmoAudio Direct Microphone Connection, creators can wirelessly link external audio gear including the DJI Mic 3, DJI Mic 2, and the new Mic Mini series, without the need for clunky adapters or receivers.
Mounting is similarly streamlined, utilizing an Osmo dual-direction quick-release design with magnetic attachment on both sides, as well as a standard 1/4″ thread that accommodates both DJI accessories and traditional camera rigging.
Rugged Design and Hardware Specifications
To withstand rigorous field use, DJI has implemented a new replaceable lens system. The lenses feature a scratch- and wear-resistant optical film, allowing creators to easily swap them out if damaged during a shoot.

DJI is positioning the Osmo 360 II across a wide range of specialized activities. On motorcycles, the camera can be mounted for multi-angle shots and operated hands-free via gesture or voice control. Leveraging its rugged specifications, the camera's underwater and sub-zero capabilities make it suitable for diving and skiing, where a simple double-twist of the selfie stick starts recording. Additionally, a 2.5 m Extended Carbon Fiber Selfie Stick can be deployed for simulated aerial views. For cyclists, the camera's stabilization is specifically aimed at managing rough trails, and a Sports Dashboard overlay adds data-rich telemetry directly to the footage. Vloggers and solo creators are further supported by an Invisible Selfie Stick and a Dual Recording mode that captures both the operator and the surrounding scenery in a single, immersive frame.
Pricing and Availability
The Osmo 360 II is making its global debut at IFA 2026 in Berlin. In the European market, the Standard Combo is priced at €589, with the Creator Combo retailing for €739. Something worth noting: due to pending authorization applications, the Osmo 360 II will not be available in the United States market at launch.
