Soon, a new set will be joining the collection for Disney Lorcana. Set 12, Wilds Unknown, is the last of Year 3 sets and will finally bring the introduction of many Pixar properties to the game. Many details have been shared recently that give insights into what players can expect with this set, including the addition of new products and two new glimmer types.

Disney Lorcana: Wilds Unknown will continue the overarching narrative of Lorcana, as Illumineers and glimmers venture deep into the wilds of jungle, desert, and mountain areas while searching for answers and lore. As part of the storyline, this set also includes 12 "Traveler" cards, which focus on special glimmers who are familiar with the rugged and dangerous territories we will be exploring in this chapter of Disney Lorcana.

The Wilds Unknown set will signify the first time that a new product, the Prerelease Box, will be sold. This special box will be available only during prerelease, or until prerelease vendors have sold out of it, and includes a decorative box, six card packs, four dice, one of six random Wilds Unknown promo cards, and one of three random Wilds Unknown postcards.

Product Line-Up For Wilds Unknown

Disney Lorcana two player starter deck with Wilds Unknown set

As with every Disney Lorcana set release, there will be many different types of products available at launch. These include the standard booster packs with 12 cards per pack, a booster box that will feature the display packaging and include 24 of the booster packs for a total of 288 cards.

There is also a collectible Illumineer's Trove, which generally includes a higher-quality decorative box, card sleeves, damage-counter dice, tokens, and eight booster packs, although the contents have not been specified yet for Wilds Unknown and may vary.

With the launch of Wilds Unknown, there is also the above-mentioned Prerelease Box with a box, six booster packs, four dice, a promo card, and a postcard. Additionally, a new "2-Player Starter Set" is debuting. This is designed to help prospective players have an easier opportunity to try out the game, and will include two decks, two deck boxes, two lore counters, and some damage tokens. For Wilds Unknown, there will be one deck themed for the "Toy" glimmer cards from Toy Story, and one deck themed for "Supers" from The Incredibles.

Illumineer's Quest Will Launch Later In The Year

Disney Lorcana The Great Hunny Rescue Illumineers Quest

This is generally the time of year when a new Illumineer's Quest game is also released. However, this year's Illumineer's Quest board game-style game will not arrive until October 2026, retailing for an expected $59.99. This edition of the annual solo or two-player repeatable game will be Winnie the Pooh themed and titled The Great Hunny Rescue, with a stunning illustration of Hunny Wizard Pooh on the cover.

Thankfully, it also appears as though it will be in the same style of box as the Reign of Jafar game, making it easier to store and replay this Disney Lorcana product.
