Disney Lorcana Reveals Stacked 2026 Release Schedule, With Exciting New Characters

Disney's popular trading card game, Disney Lorcana, has just revealed its release schedule and lineup for the rest of 2026 and into 2027, including many highly requested characters from Pixar movies. At a public broadcast that took place earlier today about the game on Twitch, Lorcana's team showed off all-new products, cards, and a few of the upcoming sets that are in the works right now.

The excitement surrounding these announcements and new products is palpable among fans of the TCG, as it shows how the game is continuing to evolve and grow, and that its makers are listening to many of its community requests. Featuring familiar and beloved Disney characters, Disney Lorcana cards can often be worth a lot of money to collectors, but Lorcana's gameplay shouldn't be overlooked either. The entertaining and quick card game is constantly growing as more players learn it.

Disney Lorcana's 2026 And 2027 Releases Are Looking Good

Release Dates And Upcoming Sets

The next set for Disney Lorcana will release this May. Set 12, Wilds Unknown, will not only continue the overarching storyline that Lorcana has been telling, but also introduce Toy Story and The Incredibles characters into the game as the first Pixar Studio properties to appear. Its prerelease on May 8 will also bring the debut of an all-new product, the Prerelease Box, which will only be available during prerelease events.

Toy Story and The Incredibles cards will further introduce new card types to the game. The "Toy" and "Supers" designations for glimmers will give players even more ways to personalize decks and incorporate new strategies into their games.

Following Toy Story and The Incredibles introductions with Disney Lorcana: Wilds Unknown, Mike and Sully from the Monsters Inc. universe will join the fray in July with the Attack of the Vine! set. Future sets also include characters and themes from the movies Coco and Onward.

New 2 Player Starter Sets, Prerelease Boxes, And More

And A Hunny Wizard Pooh Illumineer's Quest

In addition to each Lorcana set featuring a collectible Illumineer's Trove, the launch of Wilds Unknown will introduce a new Prerelease Box as well as new 2 Player Starter Sets.

The Prerelease Box will only be available at prerelease events and until those stores have run out of stock, and will include a special box, six card packs, four dice, a promo card, and a postcard. There are six possible promo cards for the Wilds Unknown set that are available in Prerelease Boxes, as well as three possible postcards. Each box will contain a random one of each.

2-Player Starter Sets will give new players an easier way to dive into the game for the first time and will be designed around each set as they release. For Wilds Unknown, the Lorcana 2-Player Starter Set will feature a "Toy" deck against a "Supers" deck and is expected to retail at $29.99.

Finally, an all-new Illumineer's Quest will be released in October 2026 at an MSRP of $59.99. This time, the board game-style game will feature Hunny Wizard Pooh and is called The Great Hunny Rescue.

Set Rotation Will Knock Out Another Four Sets From Core Constructed

Of course, continuing with Disney Lorcana's set rotation policies that were introduced last year, the Attack of the Vine! set will signal another four sets being rotated out of Core Constructed play. Year 2 sets, including Shimmering Skies, Azurite Sea, Archazia's Island, and Reign of Jafar will be rotated out. Thankfully, they can still be played in formats other than Core Constructed.

Many new cards were shown off at today's event, including the two Iconics for Wilds Unknown which will feature "Buzz Lightyear - Jungle Ranger" and "Merida - Formidable Archer." Ultimately, it looks like the next several months will be an exciting one for fans of Disney Lorcana.
