Lorianne Palinkas has been a reality television writer for Screen Rant for four years. After teaching middle school English for twenty years, she knows a thing or two about high drama, complicated alliances, and even singing competitions. Taylor was arrested in 2023 on misdemeanor charges of aggravated assault, two counts of domestic violence in the presence of a child, child abuse with injury, and criminal mischief.
Taylor pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in August 2023, but the other charges were dismissed, and she received 36 months of probation. In February 2026, Dakota and Taylor were involved in another domestic violence incident. Then, three days before The Bachelorette season 22 was set to premiere on March 22, 2026, TMZ released a disturbing video of the 2023 incident, in which Taylor threw metal chairs at Dakota, one of which hit her then 5-year-old daughter from her first marriage to Tate Paul in the head. After the video was released, ABC canceled The Bachelorette season 22.
Who Won The Bachelorette Season 22 & Did Taylor Get Engaged To Him?
Although fans will likely never see The Bachelorette season 22, in an Instagram post, Reality Steve posted spoilers about the ending, including Taylor's winner and whether she got engaged. Taylor's season filmed from October 26 to December 19, 2025, with 22 men competing for her heart.
ABC canceled The Bachelorette season 22 starring Taylor Frankie Paul, leaving fans wondering what will happen next for her and the show.
According to Reality Steve, Taylor got engaged to Doug Mason, a 28-year-old ocean lifeguard from San Diego, California, in St. Lucia, during her finale. However, a month later, in January 2026, Taylor broke up with Doug when he flew to Utah to see her. Reality Steve claims that it was because of Dakota, especially because she spent the night with him the night before she left to film The Bachelorette season 22, as revealed during the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 4 finale.

Reality Steve had several more spoilers about The Bachelorette season 22 in his Instagram post. The season began with 22 men, and Taylor filmed four episodes with them in Los Angeles. After Los Angeles, she traveled to Colorado, and then to Las Vegas. By the time she got to Las Vegas, Taylor had nine men left.
They included Conrad Ukropina, a 32-year-old startup founder from Santa Monica, California; Brad Ledford, a 29-year-old cowboy and entrepreneur from Newport Beach, California; Chris Wood, a 35-year-old business owner from Vacaville, California; Lew Evans, a 32-year-old insurance tech founder from Salt Lake City, Utah; Shane Parton, a 28-year-old private wealth planner from Atlanta, Georgia; Brandon Perce, a 28-year-old loan officer from Spearfish, South Dakota; Casey Hux, a 30-year-old mechanical engineer from Nashville, Tennessee; Mike Turitto, a 36-year-old brand protection manager from Lavallette, New Jersey; and Doug.
Taylor eliminated Conrad before the rose ceremony in Las Vegas, and Brad and Brandon at the rose ceremony. After Las Vegas, the six remaining men--Shane, Lew, Casey, Doug, Chris, and Mike--traveled to Miami with Taylor. There she sent home Chris and Mike. This meant that Doug, Shane, Casey, and Lew received her four hometown dates. She said goodbye to Casey after her hometowns.
From there, Taylor had three overnight Fantasy Suite dates in Salt Lake City with Lew, Shane, and Doug. She eliminated Lew after her overnights, leaving Shane and Doug as her final two. They traveled to St. Lucia, where she got engaged to Doug, which meant that Shane was her runner-up.
The Bachelorette season 22 will probably never air, but it would've been interesting to watch Taylor's journey, especially because she'd never been part of any previous Bachelor franchise shows. However, it's for the best that ABC pulled the show from the air so that Taylor can focus on getting the help that she needs. Hopefully, Doug and the rest of the Bachelorette season 22 men will have another chance to find love on Bachelor in Paradise or even as the next lead of The Bachelor.
