Denise Welch, 68, reveals how she keeps in shape as she works out on Malibu beach in blue lycra outfit and wishes son's new wife Gabbriette a happy birthday

Denise Welch has revealed how she keeps in incredible shape as she detailed her gruelling workout in an Instagram post on Wednesday.

The actress, 68, is enjoying some downtime in Miami after son Matty Healy and American model Gabbriette Bechtel, 29, married in a glamorous Hollywood ceremony.

The Loose Women star showcased her age-defying looks while running across the beach before finishing with some squats and press ups. 

Denise looked amazing in tight blue lycra gym wear as she took fans through her exercises. 

On the same day, Denise wished her new daughter-in-law Gabbriette a happy birthday in a sweet post.

She wrote: 'Happy birthday to our beautiful daughter in law Gabriella. We love you so much and hope you have a wonderful day.' 

Denise and her husband Lincoln Townley, 53, are primarily based in the UK but spend periods of time in California with her son and his new wife.

Earlier this week, Denise shared a stunning array of behind-the-scenes images from her son’s wedding.

The 1975 frontman, 37, married American model Gabbriette in a glamorous Hollywood ceremony on Saturday, July 18.

Denise made the most of the celebrations, as she shared pictures of herself partying with her new daughter-in-law, whose birth name is Gabriella, and pop star Charli XCX.

Posing in a white suit which was adorned with feathers and a white bridal top hat, Gabbriette cosied up to Denise who opted for an off-the-shoulder satin dusty pink dress. 

While Matty and Denise rarely share pictures together publicly, the former Coronation Street actress made an exception for the special day as she shared a sweet snap with her eldest son. 

Bonding with Gabbriette's mother Chayo and sister Marcella, the three women beamed in 'Gabbrietty' T-shirts which were printed with pictures of the newlyweds. 

The star also shared snaps with Matty's younger brother, Louis, 25, as well as her husband Lincoln and her Corrie pal Sally Dynevor. 

Denise captioned her post, 'We love our new family.' 

She added: 'To see my eldest son marry the most beautiful, funny, crazy girl under the Hollywood sign was a night I'll never forget. They are made for each other.

'I kept looking around and couldn't believe so many of our friends and family were all together in Los Angeles celebrating this most magical, beautiful few days watching the love between Matthew and @gabbriette.

'We love our daughter in law and our new family @chayobechtel @gary.bechtel and @marsalsa_ .'

Teasing more content she added: 'I'll need to do a million reels to capture the fun we all had.'

Denise opted for two stunning looks over the course of the wedding weekend, choosing pink for the official ceremony. 

She also wowed in a stylish black one-shoulder dress for night one of the celebrations.

Matty officially said 'I do' as the rocker wed his model girlfriend Gabbriette in a glamorous Hollywood ceremony on Saturday.

Matty, 37, who had a brief fling with Taylor Swift back in 2023, was surrounded by A-list guests and family during the special milestone which took place at Castillo del Lago, a residence previously owned by Madonna.

A source exclusively told the Daily Mail that the lovebirds tied the knot underneath the Hollywood sign just as the sun began to set.

Celebrity guests cheering on the newlyweds included Charli XCX, actress Emily Ratajkowski, model Alex Consani and Matty's bandmates from The 1975.
