DC Has Revealed What Batwheels Season 3's Joker & Harley Quinn Look Like
After turning down the lead role in Batman Forever and regretting that decision, Ethan Hawke has been giving life to Batman as the Dark Knight's voice for three seasons of the animated Batwheels. Different from the hero's other projects, Batwheels is focused on the Bat-Family's vehicles, though Batman and other heroes play important roles in the TV show.
Batwheels season 3 debuted on HBO Max on December 5, 2025. After an initial batch of four episodes, the show returned in 2026 with a new wave of releases. It is in one of them that the Joker and Harley Quinn, who did not get along very well in the live-action DCEU, teamed up to take on two Bat-Family heroes, doing so with vibrant designs.
In Batwheels season 3, episode 6, "Sidecar Chaos," Batman and Batgirl embark on a mission to take down the Joker and Harley Quinn. The DC villains can be seen sporting unique designs. Harley has the pink and blue-tipped ponytails with a golden choker and a pink jacket, while the Joker has chalk-white skin — unlike Harley — a red nose, red ears, and neon green hair. They both wear matching police-style caps.
How Batwheels Season 3's Joker & Harley Quinn Compare To Other Versions Of The DC Villains?
When it comes to live-action versions of Harley Quinn and the Joker, Batwheels' closest comparisons come from the DCEU and 1966's Batman, respectively. Starting out in animation with her debut in Batman: The Animated Series, the version of Harley Quinn seen in Batwheels is inspired by the character's modern design made famous by Margot Robbie in 2016's Suicide Squad, with the pink and blue-tipped ponytails.
As for the Joker, the Clown Prince of Crime's more vibrant animated design greatly differs from recent interpretations of the character, as both Joaquin Phoenix and Barry Keoghan's Joker went for more grounded, realistic designs. As such, Batwheels' Joker is likely closer in tone and look to Cesar Romero's. Given that the Batman series' target audience is young viewers, the DC villains' designs are fitting.
