Davide De Pierro To Star & Co-Write Comedy Series In Development Deal With Susan Rovner’s AHA Studios & Ted Gold Productions

EXCLUSIVE: Breakout creator Davide De Pierro is getting into business with Susan Rovner‘s AHA Studios and Ted Gold Productions.

De Pierro has closed a development deal for an as-yet untitled comedy series based on his “funny and relatable observations about life and love” in which he will star and co-write.

Andy Gordon (The Big Bang Theory, Modern Family) and Maria Ferrari (The Big Bang Theory, United States of Al, Young Sheldon) will write the series with De Pierro. Rovner and Gold will executive produce.

De Pierro, known as Davi, is a breakout creator who explores the complexities of relationships, mental health, and personal growth. With a unique blend of Italian and Jersey influences, Davi shares insights and advice through empowering content and a live touring show addressing topics like dating, family dynamics, financial freedom, and how to be a man in the modern world. 

Since 2025, he has amassed 6 million followers across Instagram and TikTok, drawing 60–90 million views per week. His debut live show, featuring live readings from The Letters I Never Sent and audience Q&A, sold out in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Nashville, Pittsburgh, and St. Louis, with more than 40 shows recently added throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe in 2026. The tour has been praised for his candid reflections on relationships and the everyday moments that define the human experience, delivered with a one-of-a-kind perspective and sharp humor. The Letters I Never Sent, his debut audiobook, is available now.

Rovner, former chairman of NBCUniversal and president of Warner Bros. TV, founded AHA Studios, an independent production company specializing in scripted, unscripted and documentary content. Rovner is also founder and chief creative officer of the US-based microseries studio and platform aTwist, alongside Jana Winograde and Lloyd Braun. Current AHA Studios projects include CBS’s cooking competition series America’s Culinary Cup. Series in the works include a drama set in Barneys New York (Amazon) and The Lying Game (Amazon), also produced alongside Ted Gold. 

Gold is CEO of Ted Gold Productions, an independent production company specializing in scripted television and feature content, with projects set up at Amazon, MGM, Sony, CBS, DiNovi Pictures, and Prologue Entertainment.  Prior to launching the prodco, he led Scripted Television for Fox Entertainment Studios, and served as SVP of Programming at Fox Broadcasting Company and the Paramount Channel.
