Dakota Johnson and Machine Gun Kelly have sparked dating rumours after they were pictured heading into pal Taylor Swift's apartment together in New York.

The actress, 36, was seen exiting a vehicle outside Taylor's Tribeca apartment before MGK, real name Colson Baker, arrived 30 minutes later.

The rapper, also 36, was escorted in by the actress's security guard, according to Deuxmoi.

Dakota cut a casual figure in a black vest top and trousers while MGK rocked a denim jacket with a skeleton print on. 

The pair spent several hours inside the singer's apartment before going to a nearby hotel and staying overnight, the outlet also reported.

Taylor was out of town during their meet-up, according to TMZ. 

The Daily Mail has reached out to Dakota and MGK's representatives for comment. 

The meet-up comes one month after Dakota was reported to have split from Tucker 'Role Model' Pillsbury after only dating for about eight months.

The actress 'ended their relationship a while ago', according to People.

The now exes were first photographed dining together on December 29 in Los Angeles.

Dakota had made a flirty appearance on the Harmony singer's newly released third studio album Chuck Timely & the Hourglass, which debuted at number 10 on the US Billboard 200.

Machine Gun Kelly, meanwhile, was previously in a relationship with actress Megan Fox for four and a half years.

MGK welcomed a daughter, Saga, in March of last year with the actress.

The musician and Megan, 40, had their baby girl just four months after their relationship reportedly ended following claims the actress discovered he had been communicating with other women.
