A new adventure game that mixes Cyberpunk 2077 and Halo can be played for free on Steam right now. In addition to all the free-to-play games that you can find on the platform and several limited-time 100% off offers, there are also tons of samples you can try out via demos. Indeed, there are currently 24 new free demos on Steam that players can check out right now; no extra fees, no strings attached.

The free demo on Steam is for an upcoming game called G-Rebels. Developed by Reakktor Studios, G-Rebels is an open-world action-based combat flight sim that puts players in control of a futuristic glider, called a Skyblade, which will soar over a flooded Earth in the year 2684. The goal will be to ensure the safety of the skies, fighting off organized crime, and securing trade routes for what remains of civilization amongst the huge floating cities.

Players can follow the main campaign or explore the world at their own pace, earning money in mining, as a bounty hunter, racing pilot, bodyguard, mercenary, pirate, or as a hunter for lost artifacts. With the money that is acquired, players can then upgrade their Skyblades. The Early Access period on Steam has yet to receive a release date, but the demo for G-Rebels is already available, giving players a taste of what they can expect.

The free demo for G-Rebels is one of the many different freebies that you can find on the platform. On top of the 24 aforementioned demos, players also have access to several entirely free titles. For example, there’s currently an entirely free game on Steam that you can keep forever after it is redeemed and added to your library.

This, of course, is a narrative game, but you can find different types of free games from a plethora of genres to pick. If you prefer action-based games, you can likely find a good option for you from among the four free games added in April, for example. Even so, Steam is a great platform to try out new games via demos before devoting yourself entirely to a new title.
