Curate has hired talent and literary manager Aaron Brown, Variety has learned exclusively.

Brown joins Curate from Avalon, where he has worked for the past 10 years. He started his career as an assistant at Artists First and prior to that was mentored by Jim Osborne at IAG.

“We’re so thrilled to have Aaron join our team here at Curate,” the firm’s partners said in a statement. “His hands on approach to management and ability to build careers in different mediums is very exciting. He has a sharp eye for multi-hyphenated talent and unique voices, which fits perfectly with our vision for Curate.”

Brown’s client roster includes Ivy Wolk (“The English Teacher”), Andrew Jay Cohen (“Neighbors”), Will and Aaron Eisenberg (“Cursed Friends”), Eugene Lee Yang (“Nimona”), Jari Jones (“Bobs Burgers”), Adam Faison (“Fallout”), Dominque Jackson (“Pose”), Maeve Press (“Everything’s Gonna Be Okay,” “Holes”) and Courtney Parchman (“Sex Lives of College Girls”) among others.

“I couldn’t be more excited to join Curate,” Brown said. “Their client first mentality, drive to succeed and an internal positive culture, all align with my core values. My focus as a manager has always been to assist creators to play in different arenas and be innovative, it’s exciting to have a team that shares this vision.”

While at Avalon, Brown served as an executive producer on the sketch comedy series “The Terrors of Jordan Mendoza” at Adult Swim. He was also instrumental in helping to build the acting career of Marc Maron, including finding projects like “GLOW,” “To Leslie,” and “In Memoriam.”
