EXCLUSIVE: Concourse Media has acquired world sales rights to Seeds, an action thriller based on the current political divide surrounding undocumented immigrants.
The film was directed by Ryan Jordan and written by Jeffrey Ronald Cohen and will be presented to buyers at the upcoming European Film Market.
The film’s synopsis reads: Seeds follows political operatives who carry out a covert plan to place abducted Mexican gang members in U.S. cities, with the goal of provoking unrest that can be exploited to advance radical immigration policies. The film examines how fear and instability are used as tools in a polarized political environment.
The film stars Dominic Hernandez (Mindcage), Marissa Arguijo (Bundles), Oscar Gonzalez, and Michael-Eoin Stanney (Yuk Filthy Animal). The film was produced by Ryan Jordan and Marissa Arguijo under their Gen1 Entertainment banner.
“Seeds taps into a debate that feels very much of this moment,” said Matthew Shreder, CEO of Concourse Media. “At the same time, it works first and foremost as a tense, entertaining thriller, while examining how fear and chaos can be manufactured and leveraged.”
Jordan added: “With Seeds, we set out to make a film that doesn’t shy away from uncomfortable truths, while still delivering a propulsive, entertaining action thriller. We are thrilled to have on board Concourse to get the film in front of the right global audience.”
