Tracker returns for the second half of Season 2 on Sunday, February 16, and according to the official logline and images for the episode, there won't be much time to waste. Details of Tracker Season 2, Episode 9, "The Disciple," tease major developments in Colter's decade-old case about a missing woman. The arc has been touched on sporadically throughout the first half of the season, but the entrance of a retired detective into the picture is just what the mystery needed. Brent Sexton returns as Detective Keaton when some discoveries in Gina Picket's case are made. Read the logline below:

"A new lead in Colter’s white whale case, the disappearance of Gina Picket, brings him and retired cop Keaton (guest star Brent Sexton) back together to track down a serial killer."

Colter and Keaton Hunt Down a Serial Killer in 'Tracker' Season 2, Episode 9

Ten years ago, Gina Picket went missing after her shift. The last evidence of her existence placed her in the parking lot of her place of work, and thereafter, she fell from the face of the earth. Gina's sister hired Colter to help find her; even after months of digging, he came up empty. Other trackers would move on, but the case stayed with Colter for over a decade. In Tracker Season 2, Episode 1, he visits Frank Whales (Ryan Dorsey), a man he suspected of being involved with Gina's death. Colter later met Keaton, and they struck a friendship, with the latter agreeing to investigate the case. The images above tease the culmination of these developments.

Scenes captured in the images tease the duo's attempt to find the serial killer. The search takes them far and wide, in shady alleys and even shadier buildings. For the first time, Colter is working a case with someone who actually cares and is not there just for the reward. It will be interesting to see the dynamics between Colter and Sexton and how they differ from Colter's work with Billie Matalon (Sofia Pernas). Whether their search bears any fruit remains to be seen, but some casualties are sustained as Frank is shown lying on the floor with a knife in his chest. The episode also introduces a mysterious player, Noah Darview (Nicholas Lea), who might be our serial killer based on how he's dressed.

Tune in to CBS to watch "The Disciple," written by Sharon Leee Watson and Amanda Mortlock. The episode, airing on Sunday, February 16, at 8 pm ET, was written by Bethany Rooney. Catch up with past episodes on Paramount+ before new ones return.
