Coleen Rooney delighted GMB viewers on Monday as she made her first TV appearance since finishing second on I'm A Celebrity.

The WAG, 38, has been tipped to become 'ITV's new golden girl' after winning over a legion of fans with her time in the Jungle.

Amid claims she's been eyed up for a slot on Loose Women and This Morning, Coleen appeared on ITV's breakfast news show GMB to discuss her time in camp.

During her interview, Coleen opened up about 'alcohol withdrawal', explaining: 'The headaches set in. Obviously withdrawal from caffeine, sugar and alcohol. And then the hunger, we didn’t get stars in the first week.'

Coleen also revealed she'd caught up with husband Wayne Rooney, who had told her how 'proud' he was of her.

Viewers were quick to praise the mother-of-four, taking to X/Twitter to share: 'She’s come across lovely, well done Coleen!'; 'Coleen Rooney comes across as a very likeable sort'; 'how lovely is Coleen, she's defo Queen of the Jungle. I've literally just clapped for her after that interview'; '#GMB I love the interview with Coleen she is SO nice. I didn't know much about her before this but what a lovely, sweet girl, & she's very funny. It was the karaoke statement that made me laugh'.

ITV bosses will no doubt be pleased that her popularity hasn't waned as she's allegedly being lined up for a £1million TV deal with the channel.

Asked about the reports on the show, Coleen revealed she hadn't looked at any job offers just yet because she's enjoying her time out of the Jungle.

She explained: 'Apart from speaking to Wayne and my boys, I haven’t seen anything and I don’t intend to until I get back into the UK.

'I’m looking forward to Christmas, and then in January I will sit down with my team and see what I am going to do going forward.'

Coleen is set for a treat when she considers her work going forward, as The Sun reports she's been eyed up for a role on Loose Women.

A source told the newspaper: 'Coleen’s return to public life following the Wagatha Christie trial was carefully orchestrated — and it has more than paid off.

'When she was in the jungle, she was being touted as ITV’s next Holly Willoughby and the offers have already started flooding in. But there is one deal on the table that has really piqued her team’s interest.

'Given Coleen’s love of the Loose Women show too, the team want her secured on their guest roster, with a view to finding something more permanent for her.'

The insider went on to add that in addition to TV deals, 'lifestyle and nutritional brands' and 'high street retailers' have been trying to entice her with lucrative contracts, noting: 'The sky’s the limit'.

ITV have long been plotting to utilise Coleen, with MailOnline previously reporting that network bosses are hoping this will be the start of a long partnership with Coleen, with the door open for 'huge TV deals' and offers of This Morning appearances.

A source told MailOnline: 'ITV have been asking her for I'm A Celebrity for ages but they've also asked her to do other shows and get her on This Morning.

'She has always said no and now this is her time. She is going to be the biggest paid star on I'm A Celebrity. The door is open to huge TV deals now.

'It's time for Coleen. ITV knows she resonates with the viewers and she could well become Queen of the Jungle. ITV are going to go for it and so is she.

'Wayne's football career is over now and it is her turn to shine. Wayne is so supportive of her.

'She's been offered so many shows in the past and now she's going to say yes.'

Wayne, 39, retired from playing football in 2021 and is now the manager of EFL Championship club Plymouth Argyle.

Coleen finished in second place on I'm A Celeb after bagging a reported fee of £1.5 million

Bosses hope that Coleen's popularity could provide a huge boost in ratings for the broadcaster, after a turbulent year following Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby's departure from This Morning.

Holly, 43, had been on the show for 14 years before she stepped down and was replaced by Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard.

Ahead of her arrival in Australia, Coleen revealed she had always turned down offers to star in I'm A Celebrity over the years as she felt her four sons - Kai, 13, Klay, 10, Kit, seven, and Cass, five - were too young, but now feels it is the right time.

Coleen is said to have been paid £1.5 million for her time in the Jungle, with industry experts predicting she's in for an even bigger payday if she leans in on her success and targets 'family brands.'

PR Expert Lynn Carratt, Head of Talent at Press Box PR, mused: 'Coleen has a joint fortune with her husband of around £200 million, which obviously is quite a huge amount.

'She is the highest-paid celebrity in the jungle this year - she's not doing it to raise her profile, she's doing it to do something for herself.'

'Now that her kids are older, she wants to get back out there and build her career up which many mums want to do and yes, she'll end up making more money off the back of the show with brand deals with family brands.

'It's likely she will make £5 million post-show. But she's doing it for self-preservation rather than monetary value because when you have £200 million, what's another £5 million?'
