CNN Says Outage Due To Technical Issue Across Warner Bros. Discovery

CNN experienced an outage on Monday in what the network said was a technical issue across Warner Bros. Discovery.

Inside Politics host Dana Bash returned to the air at about 12:51 p.m. ET and told viewers, “Welcome back, and we are back. There was a technical issue across Warner Bros. Discovery that resulted in losing our signal. We’re very sorry for the interruption.”

Earlier in the hour, some viewers reported seeing garbled images on the screen before going dark. On YouTube TV systems, in the minutes before Bash returned, Inside Politics was in a commercial break and screens then showed portions of a documentary on Apple.

CNN’s communications team posted at 12:48 p.m. ET, “We are aware of a technical issue across Warner Bros. Discovery that resulted in losing CNN channels for a period of time today. We are working quickly to resolve it and apologize for the interruption.”

Viewers also reported disruptions on other WBD channels, including Cartoon Network and TCM.
