Vadhandhi
Vadhandhi may be the best crime thriller on Prime Video you've never heard of. After a four-year wait between seasons, Prime Video just recently dropped the anticipated second season in early August, making this week a great opportunity to see what all the hype is about. Vadhandhi, which translates to "rumors", earned a strong 86% Rotten Tomatoes audience score and just reached the #2 worldwide spot on Prime's non-English viewership chart. Each season follows a new criminal case, much like HBO's masterpiece True Detective, and is worth checking out for all crime thriller fans.
Sterling Point
Sterling Point's momentum has not slowed down whatsoever after becoming the summer's biggest breakout YA hit on Prime Video. The 8-part coming-of-age series was just released on August 5 and has been one of the most watched shows on the streamer ever since, so much so that Prime Video has already confirmed a second season is in development.
Somewhat remarkably, Sterling Point is not based on a celebrated novel, much like other top trending YA series like Off Campus and The Summer I Turned Pretty, and has achieved its massive viewership as a completely original work by creator Megan Park. With its TV-MA rating, Sterling Point transcends the traditional coming-of-age genre tropes and is a good watch for nearly all ages.
Reacher
Reacher is and will continue to be the best show to watch on Prime Video throughout August and September 2026, achieving nearly universal critical acclaim and likely owning the streamer's #1 worldwide viewership spot for the foreseeable future. The fourth adaptation of a Lee Child Jack Reacher book is proving to be another massive success story for Prime Video, led by Alan Ritchson's natural charm as the larger-than-life titular vigilante.
While past seasons have dug into Reacher's past and expanded the universe, namely through Frances Neagley's character, who gets her own Prime Video show next month, Reacher season 4 has remained laser-focused on its story through its first four episodes.
