Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a truly one-of-a-kind RPG that has absolutely taken the world by storm since its release back in April 2025. The game went on to win several prestigious gaming awards, even taking the coveted GOTY title at the 2025 Game Awards and recently taking home the BAFTA award this year for Best Game.

What Sandfall Interactive has accomplished with Clair Obscur is nothing short of monumental, and fans will agree that the recognition and praise is well deserved.

With the 1-year anniversary fast approaching, it wouldn't be completely out of left field for Sandfall to surprise fans with something massive. The studio has made it clear that new content for Clair Obscur is definitely in the works, and after the surprise release of the Verso's Drafts DLC at The Game Awards 2025, fans on Reddit are hoping we'll see some new DLC for Clair Obscur before the weekend hits.

A new Anniversary DLC along the same lines as Verso's Drafts would be huge for players, possibly introducing another brand-new area, providing more character development for one of the game's beloved protagonists (such as Maelle), and maybe even giving players additional boss challenges in the Endless Tower.

However, many players have their hopes set even higher, with the one-year anniversary being the perfect opportunity for Sandfall to announce the next chapter in the Clair Obscur saga.

Will We Get A Clair Obscur 2 Announcement This Week?

While a new Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 DLC would be a dream come true for players, an official announcement or update on the status of the next mainline game in the franchise would send shockwaves through the gaming community.
