Actor Awards 2026: Chase Infiniti Reveals She's Named After This Nicole Kidman Character

There's no need for riddles when it comes to Chase Infiniti's moniker.

After all, the One Battle After Another star revealed that her first name was inspired by a surprising Nicole Kidman character.

Indeed, Chase told Live From E! host Justin Sylvester at the 2026 Actor Awards on March 1 that it's Dr. Chase Meridian in Batman Forever. A psychologist and consultant for the Gotham City police in the 1995 film, the doctor was the love interest of Batman/Bruce Wayne (Val Kilmer).

As for whether the 25-year-old—who is nominated in the Outstanding Female Actor in a Leading Role for One Battle After Another—has gotten to meet her namesake?

"There's been so many times where I've been close to her, but I haven't," she admitted on the red carpet at the 32nd annual ceremony. "I'm itching for the day that it happens. I'm very excited for when it happens."

Chase—who previously revealed that her middle name was an homage to Buzz Lightyear's catchphrase in Toy Story—put it, "It'll be a good, full-circle moment." (See more stars on the red carpet here.)

Another full-circle moment for the actress was connecting with her onscreen mom Teyana Taylor after they wrapped the Paul Thomas Anderson-directed film, since they didn't get to spend much time together during filming.

"You can definitely notice when me and Teyana are in a room together because it gets exponentially louder," she quipped, "but definitely, we got so close during the junket and the press tour. I feel so grateful to even know her and pretty much be able to call her for anything."

And she had just as much love for her onscreen dad Leonardo DiCaprio.

"He was so incredible to me and I feel very fortunate because with him and then the rest of our cast, they've just poured so much love and support into me," she added. "I know I'm in a very privileged place right now, and I'm not taking that lightly, even in moments like this. I feel the love from the people in the room, and I want to give back as much as they're giving me.”
