Charlie Sheen reunites with ex Denise Richards in rare snap with daughter Lola, 20

Charlie Sheen appeared to put family first as he reunited with ex-wife Denise Richards for a rare outing with their daughter Lola.

The Two and a Half Men star, 60, took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a smiling mirror selfie alongside the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 55, and their 20-year-old daughter during a day out together.

Overlaying text on the image, Sheen gushed that he had enjoyed an ‘awesome day with the girls’.

He added in the caption: ‘Guess I had to get off that thing behind me, to reconnect with what’s around me.’

Lola was quick to respond in the comments, calling the day ‘so special’ as she wrote: ‘Awe dad!!! I love you so much, today was so special to me and I love this photo.’

The rare family moment comes amid ongoing tension with his eldest daughter Sami, 22, who previously revealed the pair had not spoken for months.

She opened up about their strained dynamic during an April 2025 appearance on the Casual Chaos podcast, hosted by Teresa Giudice’s daughter Gia, revealing that she and her father - who also shares daughter Cassandra, 42, and 18-year-old twin sons Bob and Max - ‘haven’t spoken on the phone in almost a year’ and had not exchanged texts for ‘a little over six months’.

Sami claimed he failed to call her when she underwent a rhinoplasty in 2024, alleging he only reached out more than a day later to ask: ‘Oh, did you make it out okay?’ — prompting her to fire back: ‘I could have been dead by now, but yeah, I’m fine.’

According to Sami, Charlie then brushed off her concerns, telling her: ‘Oh, it’s not like you got a new kidney, you’re fine,’ which she said only ended up ‘making this worse’.

She went on to reveal that she eventually blocked him after he sent her ‘some crazy stuff’, adding that she has ‘no idea if he’s still sober’ but admitted: ‘I honestly hope the stuff he was sending me was because he wasn’t sober because that would at least make it a little better.’

‘I had to put a stop to it and tell him: “Do not contact me ever again because this is crazy,”’ she added.

The clash comes despite Sheen previously crediting fatherhood with helping him turn his life around after a turbulent, drug-fuelled past, and staying sober for eight years.

Charlie and Sami have also publicly clashed before, most notably when he criticized her decision to join OnlyFans after she turned 18 in 2022.

At the time of the OnlyFans row, Charlie made clear he did not support the move, telling E! News: ‘I do not condone this, but since I'm unable to prevent it, I urged her to keep it classy, creative and not sacrifice her integrity. She is 18 years old now and living with her mother. This did not occur under my roof.’

Richards swiftly hit back on Instagram, defending their daughter as she wrote: ‘I have to say, I wish I had the confidence my 18 yr old daughter has. And I also can't be judgmental of her choices. I did Wild Things & Playboy, quite frankly her father shouldn't be either.’ 

The latest family tensions come after years of controversy surrounding Sheen’s personal life, particularly at the height of his fame on Two and a Half Men.

At the peak of his career, the actor was known for his hard-partying lifestyle, battling drug addiction and making headlines for a string of explosive incidents.

His turbulent 2005 split from Richards also made waves, with the actress accusing him of issuing death threats, shoving her, and exposing their children to inappropriate behavior.

Following the split, Sheen entered a string of high-profile relationships. 

In 2011, Sheen married actress Brooke Mueller, and the pair welcomed twin sons, Bob and Max. 

Their turbulent marriage, plagued by drug and alcohol problems and multiple arrests, ended in divorce in 2014.  

Between marriages, Sheen also became engaged to adult film star Brett Rossi in 2013, but the engagement ended within months amid claims of erratic behavior and legal disputes.
