Charlie's Angels icon Jaclyn Smith has revealed that one of her co-stars on the classic television program invited her to a threesome.
The 80-year-old shot to stardom alongside Farrah Fawcett and Kate Jackson on the roaringly successful series, which ran from 1976 to 1981.
Smith, who won the hearts of fans as the softhearted Kelly Garrett, was the only one of the three leads to stay on the show throughout its run.
Jackson was eventually replaced by Shelley Hack, who in turn saw her spot filled by Tanya Roberts - the woman who suggested the ménage à trois to Smith.
In her new memoir I Once Knew a Guy Named Charlie, Smith explained that the romp would also have involved Roberts' husband Barry.
Although Smith rejected the offer when it was floated to her during a flight to Hawaii, she found Roberts' 'honesty about her sexuality to be brave and self-aware.'

She noted that Roberts 'wasn’t shy' about having an open marriage with her husband, nor 'about propositioning people to "swing" with them.'
Roberts remained with Barry until he died aged 60 in 2006 after reportedly suffering from encephalitis, while she herself died in early 2021 at the age of 71, having contracted a urinary tract infection that spiraled into sepsis.
Smith's memoir was published Tuesday, and that day she was spotted dashing around New York City to promote the volume on Good Morning America.
She cut an agelessly glamorous figure in a flowing satin off-white top, tucked into a ribbed pencil skirt that accentuated her enviably slender figure.
Letting her now blonde hair cascade over her shoulders in gentle waves, she sharpened her unmistakable features with makeup including rose pink lipstick.
Smith's first three marriages lasted less than a decade apiece, but the fourth, to a surgeon called Brad Allen, began in 1997 and has survived to this day.
Her first husband was Dark Shadows actor Roger Davis, who proposed after two dates when she was modeling and training at New York's School of American Ballet.
They exchanged vows in 1968 but divorced in 1975, three years before Smith reflected that their relationship had involved her 'living for him' to such a degree that she 'lost sight of myself,' according to People.

Smith's second husband was also an actor, Dennis Cole, whom she met when he landed a guest shot on an episode of Charlie's Angels.
The couple married in secret at the height of her stardom in 1978, inviting only 25 guests and reserving their reception venue under aliases.
By 1981, the marriage had crumbled under the strain of Smith's fame and the consequent rivalry she claimed Cole felt toward her.
'All the publicity contributed to the breakup. I guess a man doesn’t want competition, and I understand that,' Smith remarked later.
'I’m not one of those big women’s libbers. I understood Dennis wanted to be the head of the house, and the papers were calling him "Mr Jaclyn Smith."'
From 1981 until 1989, she was married to English cinematographer Tony Richmond, with whom she welcomed her children Gaston, 44, and Spencer, 40.
Smith remained tight-lipped about their divorce, reasoning that a public disclosure on the subject would have been a 'betrayal to the two most important people in my life, which are my children,' she told the Los Angeles Times.
In recent years, Smith has been the subject of gathering public fascination with how she has retained her luminous beauty down the decades.

She gave credit to her 'healthy lifestyle' in an interview on the subject a few years ago, saying: 'I don’t drink. I’ve never touched a drug. I exercise daily. I’m married to a heart surgeon who preaches the importance of eating your fruits and vegetables. I enjoy my green drinks. What we put on our bodies shows up on our faces.'
Her fridge contains 'lots of fruits and vegetables,' and 'I try to have a green drink made from my vegetables to stock up,' she told Fox News.
'But listen, I eat meat. I’m gonna have my hamburgers and I’m gonna have my pizza. I love cheese. I’ve gotta have my gummy bears. We gotta enjoy life,' she noted.
'I think having everything in moderation is so important. If you’re so strict, it’s going to show up on your personality and your face,' Smith observed.
'You will get a little angry for depriving yourself of so much. If you try too hard to be too strict, you will then splurge and it defeats the whole purpose. Everything in moderation is much more rewarding,' she said.
Her exercise regimen, meanwhile, includes 'Pilates and weights' with a trainer who 'keeps me motivated and challenges me,' she shared.
'For me, movement is so important. I feel at a certain age, there’s always going to be some sort of bone loss. I’m also a breast cancer survivor. I did a lumpectomy 20 years ago with radiation and I went on a drug that can cause some bone loss,' she added.
'I also live with a man who loves working out and taking such good care of his body. He always says that exercise is as much for your bones as it is for your brain.'
