At 95, William Shatner may be approaching his centenary - but he appeared to have no plans to take life in the slow lane during a recent dramatic drive through Los Angeles, exclusive Daily Mail footage shows.
The Star Trek legend was spotted behind the wheel of his Porsche SUV with a cellphone to his ear last week as he zipped around the freeway in the San Fernando Valley, an eyewitness said, with his beloved Dobermans in tow.
And the leisurely outing allegedly became considerably more dramatic, with the eyewitness claiming Shatner was driving at high speeds, went through several stop signs, and made an illegal turn while attempting to enter the freeway.
The chaotic maneuver allegedly forced another motorist to slam on the brakes before the furious driver was seen gesturing and shouting toward Shatner's vehicle, according to the witness.
California generally prohibits drivers from holding and operating a handheld phone while driving, although Daily Mail's still photographs alone of him in his car don't establish whether Shatner was driving at that moment.
Later, the veteran actor appeared unfazed by the eventful excursion as he went on to run errands while his two dogs waited in the vehicle.

The Star Trek legend, 95, was seen getting in and out of his luxury SUV. An eyewitness claimed Shatner's drive became increasingly chaotic on the road, alleging that the actor traveled at high speeds and went through several stop signs
At one point, he was seen stopping at his favored wig store Denise Johnson Originals as his beloved pets stayed patiently in the car.
And in one particularly affectionate moment, Shatner was seen leaning into the Porsche to pet and plant a kiss on one of his Dobermans before getting back into his car and continuing with his day.
Shatner's reps have not responded to the Daily Mail's request for comment.
It wouldn't be the first time Captain Kirk has found himself in trouble over his driving.
During his appearance at the Calgary Expo in Alberta, Canada in April, the actor recalled an encounter from his Star Trek days, when he admitted to speeding to set before being pulled over by police.
Shatner explained he had been racing to make a 4am call time at Vasquez Rocks located in Los Angeles County, where the series was filming, dressed in his Captain Kirk costume.

He was pulled over and initially feared that he would be arrested, only to discover the police officer had been a fan of the show.
'He raises his hand in a Vulcan salute and says "live long and prosper,"' the actor told the crowd.
Early this year, Shatner was caught in another bizarre driving incident when he was photographed digging into a bowl of cereal while behind the wheel of his car.
The Boston Legal star took his breakfast on the go - including a ceramic bowl and silver spoon - as he drove around Studio City.
Though, Shatner's energetic outing on September 24 is perhaps on brand for the Hollywood star, who has repeatedly made clear that he has little interest in slowing down as he advances through his tenth decade.
In fact, Shatner - who celebrated his 95th birthday in March - surprised fans earlier this year when he announced he would be playing at Riot Fest music festival in Chicago while fronting his band The *uckers.

Shatner shocked fans when he announced plans to perform at Riot Fest in Chicago with his band The *uckers this year. He became the oldest performer in the music festival's history when he took the stage on September 20

Shatner alluded to his Star Trek past in a statement about his participation at the festival.
'I've always believed that music, like space, is about exploration,' he said in an interview in July, according to People. 'Riot Fest is exactly the kind of place where anything can happen.
'We're bringing volume, intensity, and a few surprises. I can't wait to share this experience with the fans.'
The Canadian native later followed through with his ambitious plans, officially becoming the oldest performer in the festival's history when he took the stage on September 20, according to Pacific Coast Radio.
Months earlier, Shatner had been forced to reassure fans he was 'fit as a fiddle' after rumors began to circulate on social media that he had been diagnosed with brain cancer.
The actor poured cold water on those claims, sharing a photo of him in a patio chair, seated upright and offering the camera a sprightly grin.
'My Daughter came over to tell me her daughter heard that I had brain cancer,' he wrote at the time, along with a rolling eyes emoji on X, formerly Twitter.
'She took this photo and sent it to me to upload to prove I'm not ill. The people who are ill are those that are spreading these ridiculous stories. I'm fit as a fiddle. You don't have to worry,' he assured his fans.
