Channel Seven's bloodbath has continued, with more big stars named in staff cuts across the network.

After the Daily Mail revealed earlier on Thursday that midday news anchor Natarsha Belling has been told her role is impacted, it is believed that veteran correspondent Chris Maher will also be swept up by the exodus.

Additional stars in the firing line reportedly include reporters Brianna Jackson and Amy Clements, the Daily Telegraph claimed on Thursday.

Employees will be 'leaving the group before June 30', an announcement posted to the ASX on Thursday revealed.

Those impacted will largely consist of 'mid and back office, and corporate staff'.

Belling is understood to be among the highest-profile names tapped on the shoulder as Seven's parent company, Southern Cross Media Group, swings the axe across its media properties.

Jobs are expected to be cut at the TV network itself, The West Australian newspaper and the company's online news website and PDF newspaper The Nightly.

As many as 300 jobs are expected to soon be axed across the Seven Network, in a major shake-up that threatens staff across the broadcaster's newsrooms and newspaper operations.

According to The Age, employees within Seven's television news division have been told their roles could be impacted as early as the end of this week.

Meanwhile, staff at West Australian Newspapers have reportedly been invited to express interest in voluntary redundancies.

The looming cuts come less than a month after Rohan Lund took the reins as chief executive of Southern Cross Media, the newly formed company created through the merger of Seven West Media and Southern Cross Austereo.

The anticipated job losses mark one of Lund's first major moves since taking over the media giant and follow comments he made about wanting a more streamlined operation.

Speaking at the Mumbrella360 conference earlier this year, Lund flagged his intention to create a 'lean' corporate structure across the business.

The reported redundancies are expected to affect multiple areas of the company as the newly merged organisation looks to reshape its operations.

The Daily Mail has approached Network Seven for comment.

In 2024, Channel Seven also experienced a mass staff exodus, with dozens of redundancies announced.

As many as 150 jobs across Seven West Media were slated to be axed in the wake of a string of high-profile departures, according to a report.

The 2024 round of redundancies coincided with several others over the past few years for the network.
