Channel 4 Greenlights ‘2024: The Year From Space’

EXCLUSIVE: Channel 4 has greenlit 2024: The Year From Space, telling the story of major 2024 events via satellite images.

Titled Earth: A Year in Orbit globally and narrated by Sherwood star Robert Lindsay, the show, which is being sold internationally by Fremantle, will present the year’s headlines such as the April solar eclipse, destruction of a cargo ship crashing into the Baltimore bridge and extreme weather events in Kazakhstan, the Caribbean and the Philippines.

Produced by Atlantic Productions, 2024: The Year From Space aims to provide new perspectives on the talking points of the year. It follows Channel 4’s 2022: The Year From Space, which aired at the start of 2023 and was also made by Atlantic.

Earth: A Year in Orbit is directed by Ben Harding and executive produced by Nick Catliff and Anthony Geffen and, senior producer Lina Zilinskaite. The commissioner for Channel 4 is Jonah Weston.
