One of Channel Ten's most respected newsroom leaders is set to depart the network after more than two decades.
10 News+ executive producer Daniel Sutton has accepted a voluntary redundancy, with the announcement made in an all-staff email on Monday morning.
Sutton has been a fixture at the broadcaster for more than 20 years, holding a string of senior editorial positions during his tenure, including serving as Ten's US correspondent before taking the helm of 10 News+ ahead of its launch last year.
In the internal email management, paid tribute to Sutton, describing him as a 'true leader' whose editorial judgement, calm leadership and sense of humour would be greatly missed.
Sutton is expected to leave the network in the coming weeks.
The same staff email also confirmed Sydney 5pm bulletin executive producer Julia Burrell has accepted a voluntary redundancy.

Burrell, who has spent more than 20 years with the network, has long been regarded as one of the Sydney newsroom's key editorial figures, overseeing major election coverage, rolling news events and mentoring generations of journalists.
Management described her as the 'powerhouse of the Sydney newsroom', praising her leadership, dedication and commitment throughout her career.
Burrell will remain with the broadcaster for a longer handover period before departing.
The departures see the loss of over 40 years of combined newsroom experience for Channel 10.
Last month, the network axed its current affairs program 10 News+ after just one year on air following struggling ratings.
The program was removed from its weekday line-up and shifted to a single Sunday night broadcast.
From August 10, the broadcaster will instead extend its flagship 5pm news bulletin from 60 to 90 minutes, giving audiences more local news coverage in the key early evening timeslot.
10 News+ will continue to air on Sundays at 6.30pm.

Hosted by Amelia Brace and Denham Hitchcock, the program was introduced as the replacement for The Project, which was axed after almost 16 years on air despite attracting a larger audience.
Staff were told about the changes by Ten vice-president of news Martin White, who said the decision had been driven by audience demand for more local reporting.
Both Hitchcock and Brace will remain at Ten, with the former working on several documentaries while the latter will take maternity leave and then return to the network's news division.
The move comes just over a year after 10 News+ launched in June 2025 as a one-hour nightly program.
The format was later reduced to 30 minutes in January as the network attempted to improve its performance.
At the time, Network 10 trialled an 'experiment' aimed at improving 10 News+.
TV Blackbox reported that an internal email outlined plans for the shake-up, which aimed to prevent viewers switching over to Channel Nine or Seven bulletins at 6pm.
