Reginald VelJohnson made a rare red carpet appearance at the premiere of Onslaught on Wednesday.
The 74-year-old actor, who is best known for playing the policeman and patriarch Carl Winslow in the hit sitcom Family Matters, thrilled fans at the theater Regal LA Live in Los Angeles.
In addition to starring in Family Matters throughout the series' nine-season run from 1989 to 1998, he also played a police officer in the 1988 Bruce Willis-led action flick Die Hard and made a short cameo in its 1990 sequel.
Despite leaning on a cane as he arrived at the premiere, the age-defying actor looked happy and healthy, showing off his fun sense of style,
He teamed a peach-colored T-shirt that featured imagery of a lion with animal-print, fur-covered slide-on mules and a trucker cap.

Earlier this summer, VelJohnson reflected on the success of Die Hard and Family Matters in an interview with TV Insider published in June.
In Die Hard, VelJohnson plays a police officer who helps Bruce Willis's character, New York City detective John McClane, when his family Christmas celebration gets interrupted by a group of terrorists.
About working with Willis, VelJohnson gushed about how the 'wonderful' actor got him the gig in the first place.
'He was a cool guy. He actually gave me the job,' he said as he recalled his time working on Die Hard and the sequel. 'He was the one who said, "I want you to do the job."
'Working with him was the first time I worked with a big star, and we did well together. I enjoyed it,' he added.
In response to a question about his favorite project, VelJohnson picked Family Matters.

The actor wore a peach-colored T-shirt with the imagery of a lion in the front. He paired the top with white trousers and animal-print, fur-covered slide-on mules
He praised his former costars, which included Jaleel White, Jo Marie Payton, Kellie Shanygne Williams, Darius McCrary, the late TV icon Rosetta LeNoire and many more.
He said he especially liked 'working with my TV kids and my wife [Judyann Elder].'
'It was the first time I had a chance to really enjoy what I do. That was the best thing about it.'
Elder replaced Payton as Carl's wife Harriet during the final episodes of the ninth and final season of the sitcom after Payton left the series mid-season in 1997.
VelJohnson also said he and his cast members really bonded while working together throughout the 90s.
'They became my family,' he said. 'I love them, and I miss them too.'
As for his recent projects in addition to the upcoming thriller Onslaught, he recently competed on season 33 of Dancing with the Stars in late 2024 and has been voice acting in animated series like Invincible.

In the forthcoming slasher film, VelJohnson stars alongside Adria Arjona, Alex Pererira, Drew Starkey and many more.
The action-packed flick follows an army sniper who struggles to protect her young daughter from a rogue squad of genetically engineered super soldiers in the desert and has to unleash her lethal fighting skills to take them down.
VelJohnson also talked about his latest role in his TV Insider interview and shared tidbits about his character and his part in the thriller.
'I play a vagrant. He lives in a trailer park, and this group comes to try to take over the trailer park, and I get caught in the middle. I'm firing a gun and fun stuff like that.'
The Adam Wingard-directed thriller Onslaught premieres in theaters on September 4.
