Candace Cameron Bure, 50, reveals new grandson's name as his harrowing stay in NICU is detailed after being born prematurely

The name of Full House star Candace Cameron Bure's grandchild has been revealed as the infant's harrowing stay in NICU was detailed after being born 10 weeks prematurely.

The 50-year-old Candace's 26-year-old daughter-in-law Elliott Dunham Bure - who is married to Candace's son Lev, also 26 - shared a sweet Instagram on Sunday of the new bundle of joy as she revealed his name is Bond Leo Bure.

Elliott shared a slideshow of photos which were a mix of photoshoot snaps and images detailing the baby boy's over two month stay in the hospital.

She captioned it: 'welcome baby boy!!!! BOND LEO BURE 8.4.2026 [white heart and lion emojis]'

The marketing professional continued by detailing his premature birth and stay at the hospital.

Elliott wrote: 'Bond was born 10 weeks early at exactly 3 lbs and was transferred immediately to the NICU — through lots of tears, countless prayers, and what felt like endless hours in the hospital, 5 weeks and 5 days later we finally brought our miracle boy home!!'

She concluded the celebratory post by thanking all of the medical professionals who helped the new parents bring home their child, their loved one for their support, and a higher power. 

Elliott wrote: 'thank you to the entire staff of nurses and doctors who took the most incredible care of our baby, and to our community who we couldn’t have done any of it without!

'thank you Jesus for every answered prayer!!!!! we are blessed beyond measure!!!!'

 New grandmother Candace was more than happy to celebrate the infant finally making it home.

She wrote in the comments section: 'Bond Leo is a miracle baby [crying, hands up, prayer hands, and red heart emojis] Our hearts could not be more full of love. 

'You and Lev are the most amazing parents - and we are here for every minute of it [hands up and red heart emojis] We love you all sooooooo much [blue, light blue, and blue heart emojis]'

Back in May it was revealed that Elliott and Lev were expecting as they shared an Instagram slideshow captioned: 'Baby Bure coming soon!'

One picture showed Lev placing one hand on Elliott's bourgeoning bump as she presented sonograms of the tiny fetus.

The parents-to-be both work for Bure Family Wines in St. Helena, California as vice president and marketing manager, respectively.

Candace wrote on Instagram: 'Are you KIDDING?! Another grandbaby on the way! Does life get any better?! CandyGram x2 = fully ignited. Congratulations Lev and @elliottpbure, we are still pinching ourselves!'

'Can you guys believe that I'm going to be a grandma two times over? I'm so excited!' Cameron - who boasts 14.5M social media followers - gushed via Instagram story.

'[My husband] Val and I could not be any more excited. Lev and Elliott are gonna be incredible parents.'

At the time, Candace's 27-year-old daughter Natasha Bure Perry also announced that she was also expecting with husband Bradley Steven Perry.

Meanwhile, Candace and former NHL star husband Valeri Bure, 52, celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on June 22.

Candace was only 19 when she first met Russian-born Valeri after being introduced by her Full House castmate Dave Coulier at an LA charity hockey game.

The devout Christian couple are also proud parents of 24-year-old son Maksim Bure, who works as the 'brand evangelist' for Bure Family Wines.

Cameron first found fame as D.J. Tanner in Jeff Franklin's San Francisco-set sitcom, which aired for eight seasons on ABC spanning 1987-1995.

The avid podcaster then reprised her role in the Netflix continuation Fuller House, which aired for four seasons spanning 2016-2020.

Cameron is also every bit the influencer with paid partnerships for brands like Peter Lamas Beauty, Shop My and Create creatine.

The Rise and Renew author certainly had a leg up in showbusiness thanks to being the nepo sister of Growing Pains alum Kirk Cameron.
