The Pack-a-Punch machine is an essential stop for players defending against zombies on Terminus Island in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Providing increased firepower to max your damage potential, the machine is hidden well within the massive map of the island strip, and you'll need to activate it before it's of any use. Getting it running is worth the trouble for those seeking its benefits, which starts with restoring power to Terminus.
Like the Perks offered by Perk-a-Cola vending machines scattered throughout Zombies mode, Pack-a-Punch fits your weapons with an array of bonuses to help you sustain rounds. In the same vein, you'll need to spend quite a bit of Essence to reap the rewards. The cost stacks up fast with activation and tiered payments, but it pays off in the face of zombies.
What Is Pack-A-Punch?
Boosting The Power Of Your Weapons
Pack-a-Punch is a game-changing machine that does exactly what it says. Essence payments provide helpful weapon boosts, like bigger magazines and increased damage, to pack an even greater punch. You'll need to activate it before you can use it, a task that gets a bit more complicated each round, as its location will change depending on the round you're in.

How To Activate Pack-A-Punch
Restoring Power To Terminus
When you first enter Terminus Island in Zombies, you'll have to activate three AMPs (Aetherium Maturation Pods) in order to get Pack-a-Punch running later on. Each AMP costs 500 Essence to power up, and you'll need to defend each station from zombies for 30 seconds to ensure the process is completed. Of course, you'll also receive the Essence spent in return, and power will effectively be restored to the immediate area with each AMP you activate in the following locations:
- Guard Station
- Living Quarters
- BIO Lab
Once all three are up and running, you can find a way to access the Pack-a-Punch machine. We've outlined the steps below, but you can also follow along with MrRoflWaffles on YouTube to visually represent the path.
First AMP Location | Across from the security room, you'll first find Strauss and Peck. Head to the back wall next to the doorway to find the AMP |
Second AMP Location | Beyond the Guard Station, you'll find the Living Quarters. The AMP is found here |
Third AMP Location | Located past the prison on Seaside Path. You'll have to pay to open the door, then make your way through the cave system to reach the BIO Lab. |
Once all three AMPs are activated, there's just a bit more to do. From the BIO Lab, dive into the water and activate the Inclined Lift around the back of the middle platform. Doing so will raise the lift upward, along with the Pack-a-Punch machine. Just bear in mind that the lift has a cooldown of 120 seconds.
You'll face stronger zombies each time as you enter higher rounds in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's Zombies mode. Getting Pack-a-Punch is an excellent way to grab various upgrades for your weapons and take out these enemies with less elbow grease, but it's just one step in getting ready to face new maps and more.
