The Indiana Fever guard recalled meeting the 14-time Grammy winner and her Kansas City Chiefs tight end boyfriend Travis Kelce after the Eras Tour in Indianapolis, Indiana Nov. 1, where Caitlin told TIME in an article published Dec. 10 that the “Karma” singer gave her four bags of Eras Tour merchandise and a note.
In the personal message, Taylor told Caitlin that she was “inspiring” to watch from afar. The 34-year-old further penned that she and “Trav" would love to see her play a game, and even invited the 22-year-old to join her at an upcoming Chiefs game.
While Caitlin could be seen in an Arrowhead suite soon enough, as Travis and the Chiefs have several games left before playoffs, the couple will have to wait to see Caitlin return to the court until next May, when the WNBA season commences.
And while Caitlin was shocked by Taylor’s reaction to her, she also didn’t expect Swifties to show her so much love.
“People are just going crazy that I’m there,” she said of attending Taylor’s Indianapolis concert. “I thought people would be so in their own world, ready to see Taylor. And it was just completely the opposite.”
The “Lavender Haze” singer’s generosity doesn’t stop with her celebrity guests. E! News learned that after wrapping the Eras Tour on Dec. 8, Taylor gave out $197 million in bonuses to those working both behind the scenes as well as onstage with her, including truck drivers, caterers, the merch team, production staff of all levels, carpenters, her dancers and band, security, choreographers, the hair, make-up and wardrobe teams, physical therapists and her video team—among many others.
"We have toured the entire world with this tour she said to the sold-out crowd. "we have had so many adventures. It has been the most exciting, powerful, electrifying, intense, most challenging thing I’ve ever done in my entire life."
She continued, “We got to perform for over 10 million people and tonight we get to play one last show for you here tonight.”
