Josh Allen Details His Proposal to Hailee Steinfeld
Josh Allen is literally scoring points with fiancée Hailee Steinfeld.
In fact, the Buffalo Bills quarterback—whose team currently has one of the best NFL records of the season and leads their division in the AFC East—may have the Oscar nominee to thank for his stellar performance this year, according to his teammate Dion Dawkins.
“When you have a strong female behind you,” the Bills left tackle told reporters about Josh in a video posted to X (formerly Twitter) Dec. 18, “and you’re in the right mental space of going home and everything is peaceful, and going to your phone and seeing a heart in your phone, it just makes you bubble. There’s something about it.”
And describing their winning season as a “fun year,” Dion added, “He’s having fun ‘cause everything around him is right, and because he’s right, we’re right. And because we’re right, he’s right.”
The offensive lineman also emphasized that he understands Josh and Hailee—who announced their engagement in November—by relating their love to his own relationship with fiancée Daiyaana Muhammad.
“For everybody who has a significant other, they know the weight that that other pulls,” Dion continued. “And when you’re in this world that we’re in, with a lot of different things, a lot of people pulling at you, and a lot of sources of ups and downs of the roller coaster and you have that one stable person that you can rely on and go home and hug and get a laugh no matter what, I think that’s dope. And that’s what I think is going on.”

For his part, Josh—who described the Pitch Perfect alum as “special and loving and caring and gorgeous and fun and happy” in her Beau Society newsletter earlier this month—wholeheartedly agrees with his teammate.
“She’s been a huge part,” he told The Associated Press in an interview published Dec. 18. “The morale, the support. When I get home, she’s my biggest fan, my biggest supporter. She’s just the best.”
