A cinematic obsessive with the filmic palate of a starving raccoon, Rob London will watch pretty much anything once. With a mind like a steel trap, he's an endless fount of movie and TV trivia, borne from a misspent youth of watching monster movies on TV, perusing the sun-faded goods at the local video rental shop, and staining his fingers with ink from the Video Movie Guide. Areas of interest include science fiction, film noir, horror flicks, '70s disaster pictures, Bond movies, '90s action, giant robots, dinosaurs, super heroes, and the exuberantly schlocky output of Cannon Films. He also enjoys both Star Trek and Star Wars when they're good, and maybe even more when they're bad. As a Canadian, he also has a vested interest in Canadian movies and TV shows, especially the cheesier ones dubbed "Canuxploitation."
An expert on Marvel Comics, he has also written for the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe, and is a member of the Marvel Research Team. He can frequently be found pontificating on comic-book continuity or bemoaning the misfortunes of the Toronto Maple Leafs on his Twitter account.
Brendan Fraser is one of America's greatest World War II heroes in the first trailer for Pressure. Fraser dons the four stars and bald pate of General Dwight D. Eisenhower in the new film, which chronicles the most consequential weather forecast in history. You may know what the ultimate result was, but you'll be able to see how it happened like never before this spring, just days before the 82nd anniversary of the Normandy landings on D-Day, June 6, 1944.
In the new trailer, World War II rages on, and the Allies are planning for the largest amphibious landing in the history of warfare. One important question looms over the planning: will the weather cooperate? Choppy seas and stormy skies could mean the difference between triumph and disaster. One rehearsal operation has already ended in failure, so now the lives of 300,000 Allied servicemen, and the fate of Europe, hang in the balance. On the recommendation of UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill, Eisenhower turns to British meteorologist James Stagg (Andrew Scott, Ripley). Unfortunately, Stagg has bad news for Eisenhower and his chief aide, Kay Summersby (Kerry Condon, The Banshees of Inisherin); a storm is brewing, and it means D-Day has to be pushed back. It's not what Eisenhower wants to hear, and it's not what Stagg's rival, Irving Krick (Chris Messina, The Mindy Project) has projected, either. The final say comes down to Eisenhower; will his decision mean victory in Europe, or the continuation of the bloodiest war in human history? You'll find out on May 29, 2026, when Pressure lands in theaters nationwide.
