Beyoncé Reveals ‘Cowboy Carter’ Tracklist
"This ain't a Country album. This is a 'Beyoncé' album."
Sure enough, Beyoncé’s genre-bending album Cowboy Carter—which serves as the second act following its predecessor Renaissance—not only snagged 11 2025 Grammy nominations, including nods for Record of the Year and Song of the Year, but she also earned her fifth nomination for Album of the Year for this year’s ceremony being held at Crypto.com Arena on Feb. 2.
This, in turn, makes her the most nominated artist in Grammy history with a grand total of 99 nods. (She was previously tied with husband Jay-Z).
Notably, the “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer's accomplishment came months after her husband called out the Recording Academy at the 2024 Grammys for snubbing his wife in the aforementioned category. Indeed, despite her impressive 32 overall wins, she has yet to win Album of the Year.
But Jay wasn’t the only one to call the Grammys out as Bey did so herself on her up-tempo track from the album, “Sweet Honey Buckin.’”
“A-O-T-Y, I ain't win (Let's go) / I ain't stuntin' 'bout them,” she mentions, “Take that s--t on the chin/ Come back and f--k up the pen.”
But that’s not the only standout lyric from the singer’s record, as she also she teases diving into that rich archive of country music after an experience where she “did not feel welcomed.” (Fans have speculated that this refers to the backlash she faced after performing at the 2016 CMA Awards).
In fact, in songs like "Ameriican Requiem," the Destiny Child’s alum makes her standing known: “Plant my bare feet on solid ground for years / They don't, don't know how hard I had to fight for this.”

And from collaborations with fellow artists including Miley Cyrus and Willie Nelson—and a memorable appearance from Dolly Parton drawing parallels between Jolene and Becky with the good hair—Cowboy Carter had fans saddling up for a musical adventure.
