Few games have managed to capture the public imagination quite like Bloodborne did when it dropped for the PS4 all the way back in 2015. After obsessively playing it for years on end, the game's community has been embroiled in calls for it to return in some form for modern consoles, which FromSoftware and Sony have seemingly ignored entirely.
Despite the apparent lack of willingness to bring Bloodborne to PC or PS5, there are plenty of releases around the game that continue to delight those who collect anything to do with it. The latest of those has just hit virtual shelves, and if you're a fan, it's absolutely one you'll want to be aware of.
Over on Laced Records, you can find a new listing for the Bloodborne 10th Anniversary Vol. I & II Exclusive Edition X3LP & Slipmat Boxset. The vinyl collection includes all 25 of the original tracks for the game, in a quality that you have almost certainly never heard them in before.
If you are an avid collector, you'll want to be aware that a part of this collection has been released before, with the full blurb for the item reading as follows:
"To celebrate the 10th anniversary of beloved classic Bloodborne, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Laced Records have heeded the Beckoning Bell and joined forces to offer fans the expanded soundtrack for Bloodborne on vinyl.
"The Laced Exclusive Edition Vol. I & II collection includes the original Bloodborne double LP set first released in 2019, alongside a new Vol. II LP that comprises nine remastered tracks: four from the base soundtrack not previously on vinyl; and five boss cues from The Old Hunters DLC, including “Ludwig, The Holy Blade” by Nobuyoshi Suzuki and “Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower” by Yuka Kitamura.
"The full set is housed in a deluxe lift-off lid collector’s box with gold foiling and obi strip, and also includes a Caryll Runes slipmat. The collector’s box with slipmat will also be available separately."
As a limited edition collection, once these are gone, they are gone, never to be printed again in this same form. Though a different release could come out ten years from now, you'll want to grab this one quickly or risk being left out in the proverbial cold.
In the meantime, we just have to sit tight and hope that FromSoftware finally listens to the entire population of the planet and remaster or remakes the original (or dare I say it even gives us a sequel?) Otherwise, we're stuck logging back onto the PlayStation for the thousandth time to explore Bloodborne's hellscape.
