Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War episode #6 is set to see the Soul Reapers launch their assault on the Soul King's Palace in a last-ditch attempt to stop Yhwach after he absorbed the Soul King's power. Currently, only Ichigo and his friends are up there, and they've been forced to retreat and recover, so they can use all the help they can get.
Episode #5 of Thousand-Year Blood War was something of a break from the action, with most of the episode focused on bringing the surviving Soul Reapers together to help open a portal to the Soul King's Palace using their spiritual pressure. Even a few Quincies defected and agreed to help out, following Yhwach's Auswahlen, which took much of their power. The episode notably featured Sosuke Aizen showing off just how much power he still has, even while bound to a chair that shackles his spiritual pressure.

What Happened in Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3, Episode #5?
The Soul Reapers Regroup For A Counterattack
The episode began with a torrent of single-eyed black creatures washing over the Seireitei, threatening to devour everything. The creatures seem to have manifested from the excess power of the Soul King which Ywhach wasn't able to take in, turning it into ravenous little beasts. Aizen, removed from the Muken, was able to use his incredible spiritual pressure to destroy most of the creatures, while many Soul Reapers like Rukia looked on in horror at the thought of Aizen being free. Captain Kyoraku attempted to allay their fears, but many remain (rightfully) suspicious of Aizen.
A call was put out for all surviving Soul Reapers to regroup, in an attempt to pool their spiritual pressure and open a portal to the Soul King's Palace, where the fighting is still going on. While they attempted to do this, some surviving Quincy showed up too, but only one of them was interested in fighting, and he was quickly dispatched. The Quincy, looking for revenge against Yhwach for abandoning them, agreed to work with the Soul Reapers, and are headed to the Palace together. Ichigo, meanwhile, was healed of his injuries by Orihime, as was Yoruichi, and they called in one last person to help: Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez, ending the episode with a surprise.
Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3, Episode #6 Showcases the Holy Newborn
Desperate Situations Make for Unusual Allies
Episode #6 of Thousand-Year Blood War is entitled "The Holy Newborn," sharing its title with chapter 626 of the manga. Grimmjow's greeting to Ichigo will be anything but friendly, but even Grimmjow understands what's at stake in this battle. As it turns out, Grimmjow won't be the only surprise ally to help out Ichigo in this episode, as some of his former Fullbringer friends are also lending a hand. With some kind of plan in place once again, Ichigo and his group begin preparations for a new assault on Yhwach and his most loyal soldiers.
Yhwach will flex his new powers, transforming the Soul King's palace into a realm more suited to himself and the few Quincy left following him. Some of Yhwach's followers are a bit disturbed by his new appearance, with the top of his head having become a black mass of eyes, seemingly representing his newfound omnipotence. It's far too late to turn back now, however, as Yhwach is now the only thing holding reality together, and it could end in an instant if he so decided.
While the severity of the situation has led the Soul Reapers to discover new allies they might never have expected to be fighting alongside, they don't have much time left to act. Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War now has the fate of the world hanging on a string, and even the slightest mistake could cost everything.
