Black Clover has been through its share of trials and tribulations since its 2015 debut, but with the Judgment Day Arc coming to a close, its Spring 2026 release appears to be going the way of Naruto. Instead of settling an embittered rivalry, though, Asta and Yuno are strongly hinted to fight it out amicably in the "Super Climax".
Having vanquished the threat that decimated the Clover Kingdom, with a surprise resurrection of their fallen allies, Asta and Yuno have become heroes in the eyes of the citizens. However, as heavily implied in the final two-page spread preview of Black Clover's Spring 2026 Jump GIGA release, Asta and Yuno now must decide who will be the next Wizard King.
Black Clover's Spring 2026 Release Will Settle Who Is the Next Wizard King
With the latest chapter showing Yuno verbally confirming he sees Asta not only as his rival once again, but that he is the one he wishes to surpass in chapter #387, it's clear they must settle this question. After all, they then successfully stopped Lucius Zogratis once and for all in chapter #388.

With the Clover Kingdom restored by Julius Novachrono's surprising final intervention in Black Clover chapter #389, it's clear that there's only one true fight left to decide. Given the somewhat brief resolution of the final clash with Lucius, plenty of hype rests in this potential final battle. But there's plenty of reason to expect this fight not to disappoint.
Black Clover's "Super Climax" Promises to Be Epic
Much like how Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha's final fight was a culmination of their training, genetic gifts, and raw emotional tension, Asta and Yuno will bring their prime abilities into a final clash. However, with Asta and Yuno being arguably equally benevolent future Wizard Kings, this fight promises to be different.
Black Clover once again reiterated the struggles Asta felt being born without magic, and how society looked down upon him, yet here he stands, having beaten the greatest foe his kingdom ever saw, alongside his magically-prodigious rival. Black Clover chapter #390, along with its Spring 2026 preview, indicates their next fight is the series' Super Climax.
Asta is undeniably likely to win this hypothetical fight, not just because of how his Anti-Magic is now overwhelmingly capable against any magic-using adversary, but because the narrative has propped him up. Even then, Yuno would be a fine Wizard King should he win, but it's more likely, given his discovered heritage, that he would lead the Spade Kingdom, instead.
Still, with Devil Union and an arsenal of incredible Anti-Magic weapons, abilities, and pure brute strength, Asta needs everything he has to fight Yuno's Wind and Star Magic. They've each come a long way from their humble Hage origins, with the citizens eager to choose either one as their Wizard King, but Black Clover only has room for one.
