Big Brother star Laura Carter has said her 2016 stint on the 'toxic' show left her broken and voiced her regret over her on-screen antics with Marco Pierre White Jr.
Speaking on RESET The Pod, the reality star shed light on the impact of the show on her mental health after she hit headlines for her racy behaviour on-screen a decade ago, with her behaviour with Marco garnering 100s of Ofcom complaints.
She branded her on-screen romps with the troubled son of chef Marco Pierre White 'a regret that I have to live with for the rest of my life', as their steamy moments were condemned despite Love Island and Geordie Shore showing similar scenes.
Laura said: 'There were shows like Geordie Shore, there was Love Island going on where they were all literally at it like rabbits in there and it was all being championed [but] Big Brother is not a show that you do that on.'
In branding the show 'toxic' for showing her intimate moments with Marco, as they had sex on-screen while he had a fiancée on the outside - yet he claimed in the house that he had been given a 'hall pass' for the series.

Laura admitted she lived with regret for the scenes, including moments when he claimed he wanted to 'f**k her brains' before requesting she strangle him.
Reflecting on the moments and hitting out at bosses, she went on: 'I was really very very upset, they didn't have to show it, did they? No, of course not. And also, it wasn't I'm sorry, but it wasn't exactly like we were, you know, going at it all guns blazing...
'It was literally I'm not even kidding when I say, it was literally I think we were both like this, like completely still. You wouldn't have even known if the camera hadn't have zoomed right onto my face...
'Immediately after the shutters came up because when they put you to bed on the night, the lights go off and the shutters go down. So, you're trapped in the bedroom.'
Detailing the impact on her, Laura said: 'I'd gone into the show feeling like I wasn't liked. I felt like the Jouos were on the attack anyway. I thought, great, this is going to give everybody even more ammunition. I wanted to jump off a cliff...
'I wanted to literally just I wanted the ground to swallow me up and I just didn't know. The only way I can describe it in the way it affected my life, it was like an earthquake...

'It was the initial shock and devastation of everything just I felt like my whole world had imploded. I really did. And when I walked out of those doors with everybody booing, I don't even know that how they were allowed to do it.'
She reflected on the fact that not just Big Brother is to blame, adding: 'But it wasn't just Big Brother. It was just reality TV and the toxic world that surrounds reality TV.'
Laura confessed that she faced an extreme battle with anxiety following the show, saying: 'Everything that happened on Big Brother made me very ill...
'I was racked with anxiety. I had a huge social sanxiety. Um, I was so scared of people judging me. I couldn't go out or to family parties or anything without being so worried about the judgment. I was about 6 and a half stone at this point...
'I was 40 kg, so tiny that you could see my bones sticking out of my bum. Like, you could see my skeletal frame. I was so tiny.'

Before her Big Brother appearance, Laura gained noteriety for her claims she had a threesome with Justin Bieber in a London hotel in 2015.
She also revealed on RESET that she went from earning £40k a day to nothing and eventually having to sign on for benefits.
She said: 'Something I have never told a soul… nobody knows this. I'd gone from earning 40 grand in a day for a commercial to having nothing. I couldn't believe it had got to that point. I stood up, said 'Thank you,' and walked out. That was the reset.'
Laura revealed however that it was OnlyFans that changed her life, saying: 'Honestly, it saved my life… I went from sitting in the benefits office to having so much money a month later'.
