Big Brother 28's first week of gameplay has come to a close, and after the show's first round of competition and a live eviction, there's a new Head of Household in power. Throughout the first week of Big Brother 28, viewers got the chance to see the beginnings of the game play out in an interesting way. With three reality TV stars in the mix, including Big Brother 26's Angela Murray and Survivor castaways Dee Valladares and Rick Devens, and a house full of new BB players, the 17 houseguests took on their first challenges and created some interesting alliances.

At the center of the game was the first HOH, which Dee won against Angela and Devens. After nominating three houseguests for eviction, Dee, the nominees, and two random players were given the chance to win the Power of Veto. Mallory, Taylor, and Yash all played hard in the competition, and Mallory came out victorious, taking herself off the block. With an empty seat to fill, Dee put Ashley up for eviction. On eviction night the BB Blockbuster competition played out and Yash took the win, leaving Taylor and Ashley on the block. Sadly, Ashley was evicted unanimously from BB.

With Dee now ineligible to play, the remaining houseguests had to fight hard for the next Head of Household title. With alliances seemingly solidified on two sides of the house, with Dee and Devens working with two separate trios in The Crossovers alliance and The Red Corner alliance, the rest of the houseguests are scattered in their own groups, most looking to Rome as a de-facto leader. With their Big Brother lives on the line, the game seems to be moving quickly already as the houseguests gear up for another week of nerve-wracking nominations, exciting competitions, and big moves.

Devens Won Big Brother Week 2's Head Of Household Competition

After the BB live feeds came back online post-show, it was revealed that Devens won the Head of Household competition. While the details of the competition won't be revealed until the Sunday episode of Big Brother, the standard schedule of the show and of the competition happening in the house are quite different. While live Head of Household competitions don't happen while the BB Blockbuster is in play due to the timing constraints of the live episodes, the HOH competition almost always takes place directly after the episode on Thursday, and the live feeds return to a shake-up of power.

With [NAME] taking Head of Household, the dynamics of the Big Brother house are sure to change quickly. While Dee was in power during the first week of gameplay, there was a lot of speculation surrounding the alliances she and the other reality TV veterans built within the game. Despite the fact that Dee and Devens did join forces with Angela, Barrett, and Drew on one side, and Chuk, Haley, and Kamu on the other, their loyalties lie with The Crossover alliance over The Red Corner. Moving forward, especially with a group of three new nominees, the house may shift.

Moving into the next phase of the game, Devens will have to choose his nominees quickly, with the ceremony taking place just a few hours after the houseguests wake up on Friday. The nominees, HOH, and fellow houseguests will then jump into the Power of Veto competition on Saturday, only for the Veto meeting to take place on Monday before another Blockbuster and eviction. This week, the Big Brother Time Capsule will also take effect, bringing another twist into the game. With the Big Brother week sprawled out in a specific way, a whole new power structure could take hold.
