Best Voltia build in The First Descendant

2 days ago 3

As we’re well into the second season of The First Descendant and you have finally earned the Voltia via the battle pass, it’s time to get a really strong build for it. Don’t write it off since it’s a deadly one, especially for mobbing.

That being said, here’s a generally strong build for the gun along with recommended stat rolls.

Best Voltia build in The First Descendant

To start, we’ll need to get some good stat rolls for the Voltia to make it more potent.

Best stat rolls for the Voltia

Use any four of the following rolls to make the Voltia a good all-rounder.

  • Firearm ATK
  • Firearm Critical Hit Rate
  • Firearm Critical Hit Damage
  • Fire/Chill/Electric/Toxic ATK

Since this is a crit weapon, you ideally want both the crit rolls. Everything else will be boosted.

Make sure to farm up a good amount of Fine Adjustment Control Axis items too. Re-rolling with locked options will make this even more expensive.

Best Voltia mod setup

Since we’re building for crit and mobbing here, use this mod setup:

  • Rifling Reinforcement
  • Action and Reaction
  • Better Concentration
  • Fire Rate Concentration
  • Weapon Tuning
  • Sweeping Squad
  • Better Insight
  • Fatal Critical
  • Insight Focus
  • Heat/Chill/Electric/Toxic Circulation*

This is going to be an expensive build, assuming the mods you’re planning on using will all be close to, if not max-ranked.

Breaking it down, this mod setup turns your Voltia into a crit-mobbing weapon, sort of in the same vein as something like an Albion Cavalry Gun. Specifically, this is good for the Void Vessel missions since this can destroy enemy bubble shields with ease.

Everything in this build will either increase firearm damage or boost the weapon’s critical stats.

This gets interesting when you use Sweeping Squad. Since you’re mobbing enemies, you’re constantly going to be proccing this mod’s ability, which gives you increased Firearm ATK per kill.

Lastly, the elemental Circulation mod is added to match the element you decided to roll for your Voltia. Even though this only has a 4% chance of inflicting an elemental effect, the number of times you will hit enemies will statistically boost the overall strength of the weapon.

How to use the Voltia

Even though this gun is mostly for mobbing, it’s going to be particularly useful against bosses with Arche Barriers too. Those are the light yellow bubbles that some bosses (like the Void Vessel boss) have.

The Voltia deals additional damage to those with them, so you can use it to pop bubbles, then switch to your primary or the weapon that boosts the Reactor Enhancement of your currently equipped Descendant.
