Best Black Ops 6 SMGs and loadouts

22 hours ago 5

For those who prioritize mobility, the SMG class is a must-know. These guns are practically designed for fast-paced gameplay, always keeping you on the move and offering much better handling through their light build. Their agility and quick aim make them a favorite among players who value speed and precision.

If you want a taste of what the submachine class offers, we’re here to show you the best SMGs and their loadouts in Black Ops 6.

What are the best SMGs and loadouts in BO6?

After spending quite a while leveling up camos, it was clear to see which SMGs stood above the rest. However, there were a couple of letdowns, specifically with the Saug and Tanto .22. These two weapons were either hard to handle or lacked damage rates. It’s best to avoid them, but if you’re gunning for camos like Diamond, you will eventually have to use them to meet certain requirements. Fortunately, it won’t all be bad with the rest of the collection. So, let’s dive into the best SMGs and their loadouts to see what makes them so special in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

Best PP-919 loadout

The PP-919 is a versatile SMG that’s made it onto the meta, showcasing the highest ammo in its class. It’s my personal favorite submachine gun, as a reliable tool that always seems to get me out of a pinch. While it may sacrifice some mobility and rapid-fire, the right attachments can help you optimize its performance. Here’s the best loadout you can use:

  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Magazine: Fast Mag II
  • Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip
  • Stock: Balanced Stock
  • Fire Mods: Rapid Fire/9x18MM Makarov Overpressured
  • Gunfighter Wildcard Active:
    • Laser: Steady Aim Laser
    • Barrel: Long Barrel
    • Optic: Accu-Spot Reflex

For starters, you can add the Rapid Fire Ammo mode to push this SMG’s power. You could also throw in the Long Barrel for extra damage, but it’s less necessary than the core five. But if the Rapid Fire is a bit too wild with its recoil control, opt for the 9x18MM Makarov Overpressured Fire Mod.

You can then work on the PP-919’s speed by attaching the Fast Mag II, Ergonomic Grip, and Balanced Stock. In return, mechanics like ADS and Aim Walking Speed will be bumped up a notch. The rest of the attachments help out with Accuracy, making it easier to pinpoint your targets in BO6.

Best KSV loadout

The overpowered KSV may be the best SMG in Black Ops 6. Its exceptional recoil control, high damage rates, and versatility already place it at the top of the meta. Now, let’s explore how to take it to the next level with these attachments:

  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
  • Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip
  • Fire Mods: Recoil Springs
  • Gunfighter Wildcard Active:
    • Magazine: Extended Mag I
    • Stock: Combat Stock/Balanced Stock
    • Optic: Accu-Spot Reflex

While the KSV’s recoil control is impressive on its own, the addition of the Vertical Foregrip and Recoil Springs can take it to new heights. These attachments significantly stabilize the weapon during firing, giving you even more control. Next, focus on enhancing the SMG’s Damage and Accuracy with the Compensator and Long Barrel.

When it comes to Stocks, you have options. Combat Stock improves movement and accuracy, while Balanced Stock solely enhances mobility. However, regardless of your choice, I recommend always equipping at least one extended magazine for SMGs due to their smaller ammo capacity. This will ensure you have enough ammo to keep the KSV firing when it matters most.

Best Jackal PDW loadout

The Jackal PDW dominated BO6 Multiplayer during the beta, and it’s proving its worth once again in the official launch. It’s still my go-to, and with the right attachments, you can enhance its effectiveness even further:

  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Barrel: Long Barrel
  • Magazine: Extended Mag II/Extended Mag I
  • Rear Grip: Ergonomic Grip
  • Underbarrel: Precision Foregrip
  • With Gunfighter Wildcard active:
    • Stock: Balanced Stock
    • Fire Mods: Recoil Springs
    • Optic: Remuda Mini Reflex

The Jackal PDW loadout shares some of the same attachments as the other SMGs, including the Compensator, Long Barrel, Ergonomic Grip, Recoil Springs, and Balanced Stock. Together, it’ll give you better handling of the weapon and faster movement speeds.

When it comes to ammo, the choice is yours. The Extended Mag II offers a ton of ammo but at the cost of movement speed. If mobility is your priority, the Mag I version is a better fit. As for the Foregrips, it’s best to go with Precision Foregrip to increase its accuracy further. When I equipped this tool, I noticed the gun managed much better with recoil control than its base version.

Best C9 loadout

The C9 is known as the “well-balanced” weapon of the SMG collection, which is why it’s on our best SMGs list. It’s suited for close to mid-range shots, covering a wide range of combat scenarios. Here’s a list of attachments you can equip to it:

  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Underbarrel: Precision Foregrip
  • Magazine: Extended Mag I
  • Rear Grip: CQB Grip
  • Stock: Balanced Stock
  • With Gunfighter Wildcard active:
    • Barrel: Long Barrel
    • Fire Mods: Recoil Springs
    • Optic: Remuda Mini Reflex

The CQB Grip will make you feel like a speed master, boosting the C9’s Dive to Fire, Slide to Fire, and Sprint to Fire Speeds. Plus, the grip slightly improves handling, perfect for the Recoil Springs and Compensator’s Accuracy rates.

Like the Jackal PDW, the Precision Foregrip is a reliable choice for the C9. It significantly improves Horizontal Recoil Control and Aiming Idle Sway, giving you a steady hand and a clear shot. Additionally, the C9 is a viable asset in Black Ops 6 Zombies, which you can easily access through Wall Buys.

Best Kompakt 92

The Kompakt 92 is a rapid-fire beast that covers recoil control and short-distance battles. Although damage rates are somewhat dismal with the base build, you can equip these attachments to compensate for its weaknesses:

  • Muzzle: Compensator
  • Underbarrel: Ranger Foregrip
  • Magazine: Extended Mag I
  • Rear Grip: Commando Grip
  • Fire Mods: Recoil Springs
  • With Gunfighter Wildcard active:
    • Barrel: Long Barrel
    • Stock: Infiltrator Stock
    • Optic: Merlin Mini

Similar to the rest of the best BO6 SMGs, the Compensator is a must-have for the Kompakt 92. Pairing it with the Recoil Springs helps tremendously with recoil control, both vertically and horizontally. The Precision Foregrip assists with this, too, but it also handles Aiming Ide Sway to improve accuracy rates.

Then, we move on to boosting the Kompakt 92’s speed with the Commando Grip, providing benefits for ADS and Sprint to Fire. If you don’t mind using the Gunfighter Wildcard, add the Infiltrator Stock, Long Barrel, and any Optic of your choice. The stock and barrel lend a hand with damage and aim walking movement speed for those who need a little more edge to this SMG’s build. Placing an Optic on it is also a good way to go to help you see things more clearly. The Merlin Mini is my favorite to use, but any will do.
