Ben Affleck takes a break from McDonald's as he grabs chicken fingers with son Samuel at fast food restaurant

Ben Affleck enjoyed quality time with his mini-me son Samuel over the weekend.

The 53-year-old Boston-bred actor and the teen, whom he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, rolled through a Raising Cane's drive-thru on Saturday.

Affleck, who also loves patronizing McDonald's, was spotted receiving a bag of food from the drive-up window while his son sat in the passenger seat of a black luxury vehicle. 

He sported a full, scruffy beard and his dark hair was cut short and slightly tousled during the outing.

In addition to Samuel, Affleck and Garner, 53, also share Violet, 20, and Fin, 17.

The exes were married from 2005 until their separation in 2015, and their divorce was finalized in 2018. 

During an appearance on Bustle's One Nightstand podcast in February, Garner explained: 'When your kids grow up in two separate households, I become mom and dad, and he becomes dad and mom.

'You kind of can't help it, right? Because you don't have the benefit of both sides, the yin and yang being in the same house, so you have to have a bit of both in the way you parent.

'There's a little bit of loss in that, but there's also something gained in that ... You also just learn, it's made me let go and not focus so much on the bringing up.'

Affleck also recently opened up about raising kids as a public figure.

'You put something on your children when you have a public life and that's complicated,' he told E! News in January.

'We really want to give them room to figure out what they want to do,' he said about not pressuring their children into a particular career.

He continued: 'I wouldn't push them into that. They're brilliant and lovely and wonderful and we love them and we're proud of them. And hope that they don't waste their life acting.'

Samuel and Fin are full-time students, while Violet – who is studying at Yale University – has found passion as a public health and climate activist. 

Affleck was married to second wife Jennifer Lopez, 56, from 2022-2024.

Earlier this month she opened up about being single and insisted she is in no rush to return to dating after filing for divorce from the Accountant star nearly two years ago.

In a Nightline interview with Juju Chang, the actress was asked if she is 'dating up a storm.'

She answered, 'No! No I'm not! God forbid. I don't want to ruin anything. It's so nice right now. I'm so happy. It's the best. I just feel really good right now.'

Lopez also admitted being single 'was a scary thing for me when I was younger.'

'I didn't know if I could do that,' she continued. 'I was always really afraid to be alone.'
