Barry Keoghan 'bans younger brother Eric from the Beatles set after tensions with new girlfriend Danica Hall'

Barry Keoghan has reportedly banned his younger brother from the Beatles set.

The Irish actor, 33, plays Ringo Starr in the upcoming biopic and has been seen filming in London recently alongside Harris Dickinson (John Lennon), Paul Mescal (Paul McCartney) and Joseph Quinn (George Harrison).

Yet one person who hasn't been seen on set is his younger brother Eric, who  previously acted as Barry’s assistant on set of his movies.

It's believed the siblings - who grew up together in foster care - have grown distant in recent months amid claims Barry's new girlfriend 'isn't a fan' of Eric.

A source said: 'Eric is back in Ireland and is not living with Barry at the house he is renting near London.

'Barry is in the honeymoon phase with his new girlfriend, Danica Hall, and she is not Eric’s biggest fan. Barry decided it was best that Eric didn’t stay with him and he has not been seen at filming.'

The insider added to The Sun: 'Eric didn’t always bring out the best in Barry so it is probably better that the brothers are not in each other’s pocket.'

Daily Mail has contacted Barry's representatives for comment.

Barry and Eric were famously close in childhood, growing up together in Summerhill, in the beating heart of Dublin, alongside their mother who was a heroin addict. Very little is known about his father.

A constant battle with addiction left Debbie unable to care for her children and at the age of five, Barry and younger brother, Eric were sent into foster care where they moved between 13 different homes over a period of seven years.

Later, Barry and Eric, were able to move in with their aunt, Lorraine Keoghan, and his cousin, whom Barry describes as 'a sister' to him.

There in Summerhill, Lorraine, 59, took charge of raising the three children, taking a job as a cleaner in a pub to pay the bills and support the family.

Barry was eight when Lorraine – who also lived with her mother Patricia – adopted him while his mother was incapable of caring for him. His father, now dead, was not involved in their upbringing.

Yet tragedy struck again for the siblings when Debbie died at the age of 31. After many years of battling addiction, Debbie fell victim to pneumonia, septicemia and hepatitis.

Barry - who has called his brother a 'legend' - has previously said that their grief for their mother solidified their bond. Barry was just 12 when Debbie died.

Before Barry deleted his Instagram profile - Eric, who works backstage on art production in films - would regularly feature.

Now, however, it appears the pair's once tightknit bond has soured.

Barry's relationship with British aesthetician Danica, known as Neeka, was revealed earlier this year.

He is said to be 'totally smitten' with the Sabrina Carpenter lookalike, who allegedly met Barry through her high-end connections at work in a cosmetic surgery company on Harley Street.

In June, friends said the pair had been together officially for weeks, and that Barry is enjoying their 'low key' romance after his high profile relationship with American singer Sabrina.

Indeed Danica couldn't be more different than the international popstar, unknown to the world and having scrubbed all her social media accounts.

A source said: 'Neeka is totally in sync with Barry. She gets that he wants to live a quiet life and she is totally down with that.'

They added that Danica reminded Barry of ex-girlfriend Alyson Kierans, a dentist he dated from 2021 to 2023 and with whom he shares son Brando, three.

The insiders told The Sun: 'Her relationship with Barry may be over but they will share their son forever. She is a devoted mother and caring for Brando is her priority.

'That is something Barry really values in a partner. That sense of "normalness" he had with Alyson, who wasn't bothered about living a public life, is what his friends think he has found again in Neeka.'

Barry's new romance is the first public relationship he has had since his split from popstar Sabrina in 2024, which ended with him suffering relentless abuse after being wrongly accused of infidelity.

The Saltburn star was soon hit with claims that he 'cheated' on Sabrina with a 'semi-famous TikTok influencer' - which turned out to be Breckie Hill - after a blind item was sent to gossip site DeuxMoi.

Barry appeared on Benny Blanco's Friends Keep Secrets podcast and told how he retreated from public view due to overwhelming backlash online.

He said: 'I came off Instagram, social profiles. I stopped going to events, socialising. It's because there was a narrative out there that's not true. I never confirmed or said anything about it so I just disappeared.'

Rapper and co-host of the podcast Lil Dicky asked: 'Is it something about cheating?'

'That I cheated, yeah,' Barry said. 'I don't want to ever bring anyone else into it but unfortunately, having a relationship in the public eye, it's amplified.

'You see the narrative, a girl made a video and then a girl made the same video and said sorry for making that up but no one seemed to latch on to that video.'

Sabrina and Barry were first linked back in 2023 but sources said the relationship became difficult as Sabrina's career exploded, noting she was being pulled in 'so many directions' and had little time to maintain a relationship.

Sabrina's hit single Manchild is widely believed to have been written about Barry after their break-up.

Barry previously had long-term relationships with Shona Guerin (from 2017 to 2020) and Alyson, the mother of his son.

Sabrina had a high-profile romance with the Disney Channel actor Joshua Bassett from 2020 to 2021, and she was linked to singer Shawn Mendes early last year.
