How Bad Bunny's Super Bowl Halftime Show Made History

Bad Bunny is sharing más fotos.

After the Grammy winner wiped his Instagram feed completely clean—leaving only a link to his 2025 album Debí Tirar Más Fotos in his bio—following his record-breaking Super Bowl halftime show, he made a return to Instagram to celebrate his 32nd birthday.

In the since-deleted Mar. 10 post, Bad Bunny (born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) could be seen smiling at his heart-shaped chocolate birthday cake while donning a black suit with a white button-down underneath. As he simply captioned the upload, “32.”

And the “Turista” singer has more than just his birthday to smile about. After all, hours before he deleted his profile pic, unfollowed all his contacts, and cleared his feed on Instagram, he took the 2026 Super Bowl by storm with a culturally rich halftime performance at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. Feb. 8.

For the occasion, Bad Bunny donned an all-white outfit as he began his powerful performance with "Tití Me Preguntó" in a field of sugar canes.

His set—which later included older men playing dominoes, children sleeping on chairs at parties, and people enjoying piragua treats—was a love letter to Puerto Rican culture. He even included a real-life wedding ceremony in between songs.

For the happy couple—Eleisa Aparicio and Thomas Wolter—the experience was a dream come true.

“I’ll never forget the feeling,” Eleisa told the New York Times of the once in a lifetime opportunity during an interview last month. “They were like, ‘Benito wants to capture real people, real emotions, real love.’”

But what’s a Super Bowl halftime show without a few special guests? For the electric performance, Cardi B, Alix EarleJessica AlbaPedro Pascal and Karol G could be seen dancing in the set’s casita before Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin rocked the field as guest performers.

Following the game that saw the Seattle Seahawks beat the New England Patriots, it was revealed that the Puerto Rican native set a viewership record of 4.175 billion views across global and US broadcast, YouTube and digital properties in 24 hours, according to Roc Nation.

Before his historic performance, the Bullet Train actor shared a glimpse inside how the show would celebrate his roots.

"I have a lot of guests," he said during the Apple Music press conference Feb. 5. "It's going to be my family, my friends and all the Latino community around the world that support me, the whole country. There's so many people who support me around the world."
