Bachelor in Paradise alum Joe Amabile gave fans an optimistic update on his recovery following brain surgery.

Amabile underwent a craniotomy, a type of surgery to remove a 'blueberry-sized tumor' from his brain that was discovered during a full-body scan earlier this summer.

On Thursday, Amabile, 40, shared photos from his hospital room alongside the caption: ‘They got it all!’

One photo showed the reality star lying back in his hospital bed with bandaged head and brandishing a happy grin, while another image had Amabile lounging in a chair giving the peace sign.

A box of cupcakes was thrown into the visual mix for sweet levity, or so it would seem.

Also included was a close-up photo of Amabile's wife, Serena Pitt, 28, holding his hand.

Bachelor in Paradise alum Joe Amabile gave fans an optimistic update on his recovery following brain surgery: 'They got it all!'

The former grocery store owner is best known for his two stints on Bachelor in Paradise in 2018 and 2021 after getting eliminated on The Bachelorette

'The best update: they were able to remove the entire tumor,' Pitt simultaneously shared on her Instagram Stories. 'Joe is recovering really well. We're feeling so grateful.'

Amabile revealed in early July that an MRI scan uncovered 'an early-stage brain tumor.'

'I didn’t share my Prenuvo results because they ended up finding a lesion on my brain, so then I had to go get a brain MRI and there was a blueberry size lesion in my brain that looks to be a glioma, which is a tumor,' he said.

'So I now need to get brain surgery to get it removed and get it tested, and then we’re gonna go from there. So it’s been a wild couple weeks. Definitely wasn’t expecting this.

'I think it’s one of those things where you’re like, "Oh, something like this [will] never happen to me," and here I am.'

Amabile continued: 'They say it’s really early stages. I hope they are able to get it all, and I’m fine. But I will keep you updated.'

While announcing the results of his body scan, the Not Married To This podcast co-host disclosed: 'I’m doing my best to stay positive during this time and am lucky to have a lot of support from family and friends.

‘I’ve gone back and forth about what I wanted to share on social media but ultimately this is now part of my life, so might as well. Onto a new journey.'

Amabile’s wife took to Instagram to ask followers for advice and tips.

She spoke directly to fans via video and wrote in the caption, 'It’s hard to believe we’re only about a week away from Joe’s surgery. I’m in full prep mode, trying to think of everything that might make his recovery as comfortable as possible and help us feel a little more prepared for the weeks ahead.

'If you’ve been through brain surgery yourself or cared for someone who has, I’d be so grateful for any recommendations, must-have recovery items, or things that made the recovery process a little easier.'

Pitt said that, as part of her preparations, she had already purchased a shampoo and conditioner that's safe for her husband to use with his surgery wound, Tylenol, pajamas, and a pillow for the hospital stay.

Amabile joined the cast of Bachelor in Paradise during season five in 2018 after being eliminated from The Bachelorette starring Becca Kufrin. He returned to the beach for season seven in 2021 and fell in love with Pitt.

The couple got engaged during the finale and married in an intimate New York courthouse ceremony in October 2022. That was followed by a larger, more lavish celebration in Charleston, South Carolina in September 2023, which brought all their friends and family together.

'We wanted to pick a fun weekend getaway city that was accessible to most of our family and friends and had a venue we loved!' Pitt told People at the time.

'Charleston is so beautiful and the minute we visited the city and The Cedar Room we could instantly envision our wedding there.

'We have no prior ties to Charleston but are so excited to create special memories there! [We] wanted the weekend to feel like a big celebration [for] everyone we love.'

The couple's pal and TV co-star Wells Adams was brought in to officiate the ceremony and Pitt walked down the aisle in a gown designed by Robert Bullock to the sound of Adele’s hit Make You Feel My Love.

Guests were served food with a 'Southern flair' and mini espresso martinis while they were also treated to a dessert bar.

The happy couple had their first dance to Take My Heart by The Teskey Brothers and the bride changed into a second dress - by Eisen Stein - for the evening reception.
